Saving Hook

Part 14. Lying

EMMAS POV.

I open my eyes and my body jerks straight up, gasping for air. My eyes broaden because I know exactly where I am. I'm back on my bed in the castle. "No, no, no! Why now!?" I shriek in frustration.

Now, I have no hope saving Hook. Being in the castle is the worst place I could be in. Because if I go out in public, people are going to think of me as a crazy princess that went insane and ran away. And the situation will be even worse if Neal told my parents what happened during my journey, and that I have affections for a pirate. No, Neal wouldn't of done that to me. Would he? My door abruptly opens and my parents come barging through, they probably heard me scream.

"Honey, your awake! We heard a noise, are you okay?" Snow asks with concern in her eyes.

"I'm fine sorry, for scaring you." I reply. Silence starts to develop, and the room is quiet for a couple of minutes.

"Are we going to talk about it or not?" Charming says sternly with his arms crossed.

"Oh right, I'll talk. Where do you want me to start?" I say with a nervous laugh.

"Well, maybe you can start on why you felt the needed to go on an adventure, and what happened there." Charming declares.

I sigh with relief, it doesn't sound like Neal told them anything. Thank god.

"I wanted a day of freedom, because spending a day in the castle is definitely not. I wanted to express my sense of adventure. I didn't really get that far on my horse, because after a couple of hours Neal found me. That's all that happened." I answer simply, half lying. I would be out of my mind if I told them about Hook, they've probably heard stories about him.

My parents look at me like I'm a pitiful child. Sometimes, I still can't believe they think I'm their little daughter, when I'm basically the same age as them.

"I wish you would of said something Emma. We could of taken a day off and go into the woods. You know, I never told you this, but the woods is one of my favorite places to be." Snow says smiling.

Snow is lying to me about her promise. As nice of a mother she is, she is way to busy to spend that kind of quality time with me. Especially with the wedding coming up. "I'm sorry that this turned into a big thing. I didn't mean it to be." I respond in the cheesiest way possible. I just want this conversation to be over.

"It's okay, we're so thankful that Neal found you, he's going to make such a great husband!" Snow claims putting her hands together clapping excitedly.

I throw up in my mind, the thought sickens me to be his wife. "I know, I'm very lucky." I express, with a fake smile.

"Alright, your mother and I have work to do. You should probably get some more rest, you've must of had a long night." Charming suggests.

"Will do, goodbye." I say waving.

After they leave, I let out a sigh that I was holding in for a while. I quietly walk up to my door, and peek my head at the sides. There are guards on both sides of my door. I knew my parents would have extra security around me. I softly close the door and sit back on my bed. I start to try to think of a plan, because now might be my only chance to concentrate.

    Half an hour later, and I have gotten nowhere. I've thought of a few ideas, but none of them are good enough to defeat Rumplestilskin. I'm not experienced enough with magic so it's useless. I put my hand on my forehead and rub it, hoping an idea with pop out of my mind.  Instead, I hear a knock and one of the guard speaks and says "Princess Emma, it's time for you to see your daily tasks."

"Bring them in." I answer, groaning for what's about to come.

The guard swings the door open, then closes it, and another guard walks in. I look up at him and get ready for his boring speech. But instead he takes off his helmet and drops it on the ground. "Emma, it's me Graham."
