Damn, I have been spoiling y'all recently :)
Chan walks up to the door that is supposed to lead to the kitchen, but he notices that he needs his keycard to enter. Damn it.
He waits a few seconds to give Jeongin time to get everyone out of their rooms before he walks back to the hallway to get his card, but when his eyes land on the group before him, he wishes he could erase what he just saw. Felix is kissing Jisung, Hyunjin is clinging to Minho, who then grabs his ass with a smirk, and Changbin is hugging and attempting to kiss an annoyed-looking Seungmin, but there is a hint of a smile showing on his lips. So they're also in a relationship. Good to know.
In the front of it all is Jeongin, who turns around after hearing Chan's small gasp upon seeing the group. "Mr. Bang, I didn't know you were a pervert!" He still has that teasing smile on his face, and his eyes sparkle with mischief and amusement as if he's enjoying the psychiatrist's shock. Chan opens his mouth to defend himself, but then closes it and decides it's best to say nothing.
Seungmin turns to face Chan while still in Changbin's hold. "Is this the part where you look at us in disgust and say we need more help than you originally thought?"
"Seungmin, I mean this is the nicest way possible. I don't care about your sexuality or whether or not you're poly. That has nothing to do with why you and I are here." Chan sighs and turns to Jeongin. "May I have my keycard? I need it to get in the kitchen."
Jeongin toys with the card between his fingers. "I don't know, I rather like ha-" he gets interrupted by Seungmin "Yang Jeongin, I swear to God if you don't give him that card right now, I'll break the wall separating our rooms when we have to go back and strangle you!" he pauses before muttering. "The only thing stopping me now is Changbin hyung and Minho hyung."
"Geez, hyung, you're so cranky when you're hungry." Jeongin places the card in Chan's outstretched hand and giggles. "It's kind of cute."
Chan takes the hint and makes his way to the kitchen to see what he can find. He sees some soup cans and decides that they would be the easiest solution for now. Something solid might be too much for the boys anyway, after not eating for days. He grabs 10 cans of chicken noodle and opens them. He puts them in a big pot and turns on the stove to heat it up. Next, he grabs some bowls, spoons, napkins, and cups; he brings them out of the kitchen and into the dining area, where the boys appear to have migrated to. He places the bowls in front of each member before doing the same for the napkins and spoons.
"You're going to have soup. I'm sorry, but you'll probably have that for the next few days until your stomach adjusts to having food inside it again." Chan looks at each of them and sees that some of them want to protest, but they decide against it when they see Minho's glare. He comes back out a few minutes later, carrying the big pot with towels in his hands to avoid burning himself. He sets it down on the table and looks at the group. "Be careful, it's hot, but dish up what you want."
Chan goes back into the kitchen and makes sure he turned off the stove. He also throws away all of the soup cans. He can hear laughter in the dining hall, but decides to stay in the kitchen. The group hasn't had much time to interact uninterrupted in a while. Chan looks around a notices an old TV in the corner. He wipes the dust off it and turns it on while praying that it'll work. He smiles like a boy on Christmas day when the light appears on the screen. It takes a few seconds to fully generate the image, but it appears to be the local news. Chan turns one of the knobs and the speakers pop before the sound turns on.
"A local man was murdered last night. Police think that he was drinking while clubbing and on the way home, wandered into an alley where he was stabbed multiple times and then set on fire. No murder weapon was found at the scene, and as of now, the police have no leads. The only thing found at the crime scene was a typed-out note that claimed the man was following a woman with bad intentions, but even if that's true, it does not justify mur-"
Chan turns off the TV with an exhausted sigh. I think I've heard enough about murder for one day, but I do need to talk to someone about my patients' mistreatment. He frowns and steps out of the kitchen. The boys automatically freeze and stop talking to stare at him and analyze his next moves. Chan gives them a small smile before he walks past them to the elevator. He swipes his card and enters the code. The doors open, and he looks back before stepping through them. They kept their eyes trained on him the whole time until the elevator's doors closed behind him.
