Eventful

Tonight was the night Graysons family was coming over. I had just finished getting ready and went down stairs to be awkwardly greeted by my mother complimenting me on how pretty she thought I looked. I just smiled and awkwardly and sat on the couch. Ding dong. I stood up quickly stood and patted out my dress. It was baby pink and quite comfy. I got up and answered the door. "Good afternoon." I said with a huge smile on my face. I was glad they were meeting my parents. "Hello darling!" Graysons mum squealed as she pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back to be in front of Graysons dad. "Afternoon." He said as he shook my hand firmly. I smiled at him and hugged Grayson avoiding the urge to make out with him right there and then.

My parents introduced themselves and we headed to the dining room. Everyone sat down and I was between Grayson and my mum with my dad next to her. Across from them were Graysons parents. We were talking about school and grades when the awkward question was finally asked. "How did you find out that you were each others mates?" My dad said which made it even more awkward. "Well we were partnered for this chemistry project and we both reached for something at the same time and then we just knew." Grayson answered which I was thankful for because I don't think I could explain that to my dad without going red as a tomato.

"That's so cute!" Our mothers said at the same time causing both of our dads to chuckle at there behavior. Jesus our parents are alike. I thought. I know. I heard the sound of Graysons voice in my head but his lips weren't actually moving. What the fuck. Mind linking baby. I looked over to him as he sent his charming smirk in my direction. We finished dinner which was a delicious steak and conversation was starting up again. "So Lucy how would you like to move in with us?" Graysons dad asked. My dads eyes widened as he listened to what Graysons parent was saying. "I would really like that." I said with a joyful smile. But then it hit me that I would have to leave my family. "Wait. What about my family?" The smile leaving my lips.

"You can visit them whenever you want." Grayson chimed in with a smile hoping I would accept the offer. I glanced at my parents for confirmation. "You should be with your mate." My mum said with a sad smile. My dad looked at her confused but slowly nodded his head in agreement. "That sounds great." I said slowly smiling as well, it would be great to see Grayson every day at the house as well. "Do you want to move in on Sunday?" "Sure." I said with still smiling. Sunday is 6 days away so that gives me a good amount of time to get my things ready.

It's Friday and everyone was hyped for the weekend. It was a regular day and Grayson was walking me home. "Hang on a sec someone is trying to mind link." I nodded as I waited silently as he thought. It was a little awkward as I starred at Grayson trying to decipher what he was thinking. "We are being attacked I have to go." He said in a powerful voice. I nodded and he turned to the direction of there pack house. "Wait!" I said grabbing his wrist before he left. "Be careful." I said placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "Of course I will. I'll see you on Sunday." He winked and ran off.

Once I arrived home I went to the fridge and grabbed some salmon. I know its weird being a wolf and all but I love fish so fricken much. Suddenly I felt a pain in my chest. Like one of those pains you get when you are insanely sad. I shook it off and walked to my room. The pain kept coming back but I tried to ignore it. Suddenly I heard Graysons voice in my head. "I need you to come over now." "Okay." I said not even asking why. No one was home yet so I left a note on the fridge. 'Going over to the storm pack. I'll be back later.' After sticking the note to the fridge I went outside and shifted behind a wall. I sped off towards the direction of his pack house as I already memorized the way there. Once I got there I was stopped by the guards. "I'm Graysons mate." As soon as I uttered those words they moved out of the way and let me through. I remembered the way to his room and started walking to it. Dam is it weird I remembered everything about his house? Once I found his door I knocked on it twice.

It opened in a flash and I was pulled into a tight hug. I looked up to see Graysons eyes red from tears. "Oh my god Grayson what happened." I said hugging him back. He squeezed me tight and looked back down to me. "My parents, they're dead." "WHAT?!" I said leading him over to the bed to sit him down. It must of had something to do with the attack today. "How did it happen?" I asked tears filling my eyes too. The mate bond must have made me feel his sadness. "A group of rogues attacked and my parents went to fight them off with some of our fighters. It was worse then we thought, they ganged up on my parents and took them down when the other fighters were fighting others.

Tears rolled down his cheeks. I have never seen Grayson cry before. Ever. I wiped away his tears and pulled him into my shoulder. I knew what this meant, Grayson would become Alpha. Which meant I would become there Luna. I could feel Graysons tears on my shirt. Slowly we lay down together and were starring into each others eyes. "I'll move in tomorrow morning." I stated not leaving any opportunity for debate. "Are you sure." He said placing his hand in mine. "Of course." We lay there for a while and I whispered assuring things into his ear. Once it hit 10 I slowly got up to get back home. "I will be here in the morning." I said with a sympathetic smile. "I'll miss you." "I'll miss you too. Get some sleep and I'll see you soon" I exited the door and made my way back home.

Once I got inside I saw my parents sitting on a coach. I told them everything hat grayson told me and how I decided to move in tomorrow to be there for him when he needed me. they arred it was a good idea and told me to send my condolences. I headed to my room and started putting things in a little suitcase. I put in a few outfits, my mac book and my basic toiletries and makeup. I didn't have much so after that I was pretty much done.

I got ready for bed and hopped in. Dam today has been eventful.
