Chapter 9

Carter is acting weird now. I wanna know what happened to her.

"Can we please get out of here.." Carter mumbles.

"Sure love"

"Thank you again Harry."

" Anytime. If you need me I will be here." I whisper to her.

We get up and start heading out of the classroom. We get a few stares but I just glare back. All that matters right now is Carter. I want her to be okay. More than okay even, I want her to be great.

We are now back in my room.

"Carter what happened?" I question.

After a few moments she says " I was thinking about my dad."

I tilt her head up by putting my finger under her chin. "What happened with him. If you don't want to tell me then don't, your choice though" I say quietly to her.

"M-my f-father m-m-murdered m-my m-mother r-right In-in f-front o-of m-me." She chokes out. My eyes about bulge out of my head. She takes a second then continues. "He never got caught by the police. And I could never tell them because he said he would kill me too. He then abused me for the next 4 years. As I was leaving for college he gave me a beating hence the cut on my cheek. And I am at college right now, not to get a further education but to stay as far away from my father as possible." She starts sobbing uncontrollably. I feel so bad.

"It's okay now you are here with me and he will never hurt you again. I promise on my life he won't. If he even tries to he will have to go through me!" I say in a superhero type of voice. She chuckles lightly with a small grin on her face.

"And when I say that I mean it." I say. I really do mean those thing to her though. She needs to be protected by someone from someone.

" I know this probably isn't the greatest of timing but I don't care." I have butterflies ahhh. " Carter will you be my girlfriend?" I say.

She squeals and jumps up and down. Then throws her arms around my neck. I hugged her back. She then snuggles her head into the crook of my neck.

" I will gladly be your girlfriend, Harry Styles." She mumbles.

Z A Y N

I am walking down the hall to our dorm room. I am minding my own business and thinking about having either eggs or pancakes when I get back. When I open the door I see Carter hugging Harry tightly.

"What is going on here?" I ask.

"I just asked Carter here to be my girlfriend! And she may have said yes" Harry laughs

"You guys are going to be the cutest couple on this campus."

"Thanks Zaynie!" Carter giggles. That is a first. I have never heard someone call me Zaynie.

I start laughing histercally. To the point I was on the floor laughing. I look up to see a dark shade of Crimson on Carter's cheeks.

"Why are you laughing like that?" Harry questions and then chuckles.

" I just have never heard anyone call me that!" I am dying right now. " I need food!!!!"

"Of course you do Zaynie" Carter mumbles the Zaynie part. So I glance at Harry and then he starts tickling her. It was actually the cutest thing I have ever seen. Even cuter than puppies.

"Well I am going to go eat. I better not get back to you two doing anything in here."

"Alright Zayn!" Harry laughs again. Then I glance at Carter. She throws her hands up defensively.

"I promise Zaynie!" She squeals. Then I hear giggling when I leave the room. Meaning he started tickling her again.

A/N: hey guys! sorry! That this is so short as well as all my other chapters. I just have a hard time writing long chapters.so hopefully I will post a ton of chapters so that it equals and book sized book. Haha.
