One Day

Chapter 6

Right after Emma and I got done unpacking, Jack and Caleb came over and we hung out in the room.
"So," Jack started, "where do you guys want to go to lunch?"
"I don't know, where's a good place to eat here?" Emma said.
"Well, there is a nice Chinese restaurant just down a block." Caleb suggested.
Jack laughed, "No remember last time we went there? We all got food poisoning and it took us 3 hours before we left."
Emma and I just look at each other. I think we're both thinking the same thing, this is going to be an interesting day. We both smile and look away. Caleb and Jack keep arguing away and Emma and I just start laughing and laughing, enjoying the cat fight that's going on. Caleb and Jack both stop and look at us.
"What?" Jack asks, making a confused face that looks so good on him.
Once Emma and I stop laughing, I say, "Why don't we just wander and see where it takes us."
"Ok sounds good," Jack says, "why don't we split up and eat at different places."
"Yeah we can tell each other about it when we get back." Caleb supplies.
Jack and I both stand up, I say goodbye to Emma and Jack says his goodbye to Caleb. Jack whispers something in Caleb's ear that makes him laugh.
"Okay let's go." Caleb says to Emma.
Jack nods his head and grabs my hand. My heart swoons for a second. Im holding this gorgeous boys hand!! Oh my gosh I've never ever done this!!
We walk out the hotel and I on to the street.
"See ya later!" I shout to Emma
She gives me a head nod that means okay and walks with Caleb.
Jack and I are holding hands and standing so close to each other, our elbows are touching. He looks down at me, and I look up at him. Then he wraps his arms around my waist and I do the same but around his neck.
"I'm so glad I met a beautiful girl like you today." He whispers.
"I'm so glad I met you too," I start, "what happens when we have to go?"
Jack puts his finger on my lips, signaling for me to stop, "It doesn't matter what happens tomorrow, only what happens today." Then he leans down and presses his lips to mine, I practically fall into him. We do this for a little while and then I pull away, "We should probably go find someplace to eat." I say putting my hand on his cheek, "Okay." Says Jack and he starts pulling me along with his arm around my waist and his hand resting just above my hip bone. A little shiver runs up my spine, I smile and think, it's just one day, it'll be over soon. Then I stop myself and recite the words Jack had said to me, it doesn't matter what happens tomorrow, only what happens today. I smile and let him take me where he chooses.
