Imagine: You and your friend were best friends with Calum, the captain of the football team, but the cheerleaders were constantly making fun of you and your friend. Until your best friend volunteers you as a cheerleader...

"Eww." You and your friend stood by your locker as you heard a cheerleader mutter as she passed by you guys.

"Jesus, what's up with the whole popularity thing and cheerleaders? Like why can't nerds be popular?" Your friend asked as she sighed.

You pushed your falling glasses up the bridge of your nose, as your friend Calum approached you guys.

"Hey." He smiled. You bit your lip as more cheerleaders passed by you, giving Calum second glances.

"I still don't know why he still hands out with those losers." One of the girls muttered.

You sighed turned to your locker trying to hide your embarrassed face. "You know we could hear you right?"

Your eyes widened as your friend spoke up, glaring at the miniskirted girl that was now standing in front of you.

"Excuse me?" She crossed her arms, sticking her hip out to give emphasis. She then smirked, "That was the whole point."

"Well why don't you grow a pair of balls and tell it to our face?" It was as if Karen was just adding fuel to your fiends anger.

"What are you saying?" Karen laughed, as her squad gathered around. "You have no right to talk to me like that."

"Respect is earned." Calum butted in. You felt the need to run, as fast as you could, because now everyone seemed to eye you. Waiting for your own cents to put in.

"Well I'm part of the popular group, so if you back off now, we'll forget this little incident." Karen smiled, her fakest sweet smile.

"We're not backing off. We can be as popular as you." Your best fiend retorted, with a smug look.

You pinched her back, as she turned to you. You knew she was jut talking crap, to make the cheerleaders look bad.

You gave her a look as she smiled, her wicked one that you knew led to no good.

"Are one of you in cheer?" Karen scoffed, at the silence. "Exactly. Now Calum, I say you stop talking to these...freaks."

Calum gave you a glance, as he smiled at you. "I don't care about reputation Karen, plus I only do football because I love it. Not popularity."

You wanted to hug Calum. You knew him since you both were little kids, and you both made a pact to stay together no matter what.

You knew him like he knew you, as if you were each others palms. After becoming the football captain in varsity at only sophomore year, you would've thought he would leave you for popularity, and he had let it get to him for a short time, before he came back to you.

And just like the pact, you stuck together.

"Well we'll see about that." Your friend shot back. Your eye widened about to pull her away when Karen stopped you.

"What do you mean? Like cheerleading?" Karen asked in her white girl tone.

Your friend imitated it mockingly. "Like yeah." You smiled slightly.
