Michael Clifford

You were reading a book inside your favourite cafe. Angels Cafe.

I sipped my hot chocolate once more as I kept my eyes on my favourite book series, The Series Of Unfortunate Events. As soon as I read the back of the book where it had a short summary I knew right away I was going to buy it. And I did.

It was about three Orphan kids whose parents have died and in the process have survived through the burning building known to be the Baudelaire Mansion. The now three homeless Orphans, Sunny, Violet and Clause Baudelaire must live in numerous assigned families only until the eldest Violet Baudelaire becomes of age and inherits the million mounts of money their parents have left, but when their life had been treated due to a greedy man named Count Olaf who is after the Baudelaire kids inheritance. They were soon sent to live with numerous guardians to live with. But even then, they were not safe from the clutches of Count Olaf.

The book itself is saddening but at the same time is relieving. It is also the curiosity in me to know what will happen to the Baudelaire Kids that made me continue to read the whole book series.

I stop reading once I grab my cup only to find it empty. I stand up from my table and go to the counter and order another.

" One hot chocolate please with extra small marshmallows " I say.

" Make it a medium please " I add so I won't run out of hot milky goodness.

" That would be $ 3.75 dollars please "     he asked tapping away on the computer screen.

I hand him the money and  wait to the side opening my book once more.

" A medium hot chocolate " a lady at the counter said grabbing my attention. I closed my books and approached the counter.

" Mine " I said at the same time the boy beside me with Galaxy hair said.

I looked at the boy beside me. He was a little pale but had reddish lips that looks so soft even in the cold autumn season. He had galaxy hair with washed out jeans and a blue hoodie.

" Done checking me out? " The boy Galaxy – the name I came up with – said.

I snap out of my trance and look up to see him smirking slightly. I scoffed at his statement.

" I wasn't checking you out I was studying you. Now excuse me as I take my hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and read my book " I say pointing at the receipt under the cup where it said extra marshmallows.
