Fifteen: Its time- part 2/ Adam

Daemon POV
"Daemon!" I hear Kat yell.
I turn off the stove and run to where I heard the yell. I find Kat at the bottom of the stairs. She is grabbing the railing for dear life. I look down and notice the clear fluid running down her leg.
(A/N I don't know what it's like to be in labor. I have only been there when my little sister was born. I've never had personal experience. So if I get something wrong, sorry.)
I grab her hand after snapping out of my daze. I carefully but I a rush guide her to the car. I can't believe I'm going to be a dad. It's happening so fast. Luckily it was not the cooled out but just in case I grabbed her sweater and but it on her careful like she was a fragile piece of glass. I know Kat hated to be treated like that but she might understand it right now.
We get to the top of the concrete steps of the porch and Kat bends over in pain. Groaning, she tightens her hand on me. She tries to steady her breaths during her contractions. Once the contraction is over, she straitens and smiles a weak smile at me.
We continue to walk down the steps and toward the car. As we drove to the hospital, we counted how many minutes in between contractions. There were about 9 minutes.
I parked close to the hospital as another contraction hit. Now there were 7.
I do my alien speed to Katz side and help her out. She winces as she moves out of the car.
We enter the hospital and I go to the lady at the desk. "Ma'am, um... My wife is in labor." Is all I needed to say. She calls for someone to get a wheelchair and we were guided to a room. They helped kat into the bed. I grabbed a stool and sat next to her, holding her hand.
Shortly after, Dr. Shay walks into the room. "Alright, let's see how far along you are." She says, putting on a pair of latex gloves. She sets Kat's legs up. Kat's hand tightens on mine. I can tell this must be really uncomfortable for her. "You are 6 centimeters dilated. You need to make the whole ten before you can push." She informed kat. Kat lets out an exasperated breath and relaxed a bit.
Dr. Shay keeps checking every 9-10 minutes saying some origin births come faster then human births. It's been about 3 hours and kat in only 8 centimeters dilated. She is taking a nap right now to build up her energy. I wish I could just switch places with kat with how bad her contractions are. I hate seeing her like this.
Two more hours role around and kat wakes to check kat. She is nine centimeters. Only one more. One more then we can finally meet our children. Our creations.
Katy POV
The contractions are so bad. I have not felt anything worse in my life. It's been half an hour and I am restless, bored, and in pain. But I know that through all the pain, we will have our children into the world.
For the rest of the hour, Dr. Shay checks how much I am dilated, Daemon helping me through the contractions. Finally, out of all the pain, I get the urge to push.
I tell Dr. Shay and she checks me, saying I am ready to push. Fear and relief fill me just then. I start to get the worst thoughts. What if something is wrong with my babies? What if I'm not a good mother? What if... I snap myself out of it and tell myself it's to late for cold feet. She calls in some nurses and props up my legs. She pulls up a stool.
"Ok, Katy. What your going to do is, when a contraction hits, you push until it's over. When it's over you breath and do it again. Got it?" I just know as a contraction hits. I push as hard as I can on all of them. It's when I hear the most beautiful sound I've ever heard, I know I'm done for now. Dr. Shay lays him on me and I cradle him in me embrace. The nurse takes him and I now have to get ready to push lux out.
