I heard the faint beeps from...a heart monitor? Where am I? I asked myself. I wanted to stand up, but my body felt heavy. My head was pounding.
I took a small breath. Wait, where is Dan? I tried to open my eyes, but they were heavy. Like my eyelids were made of Metal.
"Skye, darling. Im sorry. Please wake up..." I heard someone say. Where have I heard that voice?
Then a door slammed open. "Sir, you need to be in your room. You might pass out if you put so much force on your body." A doctor said.
"I need to make sure she is okay!" Dan. What happened?
I heard another voice, the familiar voice. "Who are you?" The voice asked. "Im Dan, who the heck are you do you know her?" He asked, he seemed impatient.
"I'm Jessica...." the voices trailed off. Jessica? Where have I heard that name
_Time Skip_
My eyes opened slowly. I saw Dan sitting in a chair next tk me. I looked over at him, he had a wrap around his hand.
"Dan?" My voice broke out one word. He looked up.
"Are you okay?" He asked, getting up and checking my body. I attempted to nod, but he got the message. A doctor came in.
"Dan, may I speak with you?" He nodded and walked out.
I looked at the IV in my arm. Blood transfusion. I attempted to sit up, but whn I tried, it sent a sharp pain in my ribs. I lay back down. Dan came into the room, running his hands through his hair.
"Skye, um, the doctor told me whats wrong... your going to need stitches for the gash in your head. And your ribs are fractured so the have a brace and painkillers. I'm so sorry" his eyes began to water. I took his hand and smiled.
"Don't worry about me. Are you okay? What happened? " he looked down at me.
"We were in an accident...and don't worry about me." I smiled weakly, but then gasped for air. I couldn't breathe. Dan shot up and pressed the emergency button.
"Doctor! Her oxygen levels are dropping!" A dizzy spell cast upon me, and I stopped breathing.
