Once on your steed, you checked to see if all of the bags were secured tightly on it's harness

You looked down at your horse

It has this beautiful midnight black coat with a couple ash coloured blotches spread out across, of course being an undead steed- it's eyes we're a complete pale white and it had a marking on it's forehead- almost something like your daughters have on theirs but a different emblem

You pet it's head gently with your only hand and buckled your feet down to hold yourself steady

"Are you sure you don't want to ride with me draga mea? Like last time?" Your lady offered, her large horse towering over yours and your 3 girls situated around you guys

"I'm certain" you nodded in agreement, gripping the lead tightly with your only hand- you didn't even know how to ride a horse- yet you were going to attempt it with one hand, it can't be that hard now can it be?

'Here goes nothing'

Your lady watched you carefully, her eyebrows furrowed in a bit of a worry "prostec fată..." she mumbled under her breath

'huh?'

she lead her horse out of the stable and waited for you all to follow

The ride was peaceful, your lady led the way- Bela was second in line, then you, Daniela and Cassandra

The horizon seemed quiet, the sun was going down slowly as you heard slow gallops fill your ears

The sky was a deep orange with slight yellow near where the sun was

You were almost to the cabin, only having to go up another hill and another 20 minute stretch- but on horseback, time goes by relatively quickly

You 5 were on the outskirts- next to the treeline, following the main road leading out and in to the village before needing to cut in a trail

Something peeked your attention, your head snapped immediately to the road a couple miles towards your right

It seemed like 5 military vans and 2 trucks were driving towards the Village, they had a strange looking umbrella emblem on the side of all of them

Tilting your head- you were confused, you've never seen that symbol in your life

'What the..' your nose scrunched up

"Hey! Alci!" You made your horse gallop onwards, passing the eldest daughter and settling next to your lady

"What is it my dear?" Alcina turned her attention towards you and your horse appearing next to her suddenly

"Look! There's vans going towards the village.." you pointed by nodding your head upwards towards the direction you were looking at, not wanting to let go of your only support

Not just Alci, but everyone looked over to see- the vans weren't able to see you by being too far away, so you weren't worried about needing to hide

"Hmm..strange" her eyes squinted slightly, her face contorted in a confused manor

"Nobody has been in our village in quite some time now.." your lady confessed "I do hope the other lords are able to keep their safety.."

"I'm sure they're going to be just fine.." you reassured your lady, but to be honest you didn't know yourself what the intention of those vans were

You knew the other lords were fully well capable of protecting themselves, and if not alone- then conjoined they would be able to escape

You shook your head to pull yourself out of thought, your daughters and lady were talking amongst themselves, watching as the vans left sight
