(Author's Note: Please bear with me for the first few chapters. It gets better I promise!)
To say that I'm exhausted would be an understatement. Brooke and I just finished editing our rant video about the Nash Grier "what we like in girls" video. Brooke is my best friend and roommate, even though we're only 16. We don't usually do rant videos but this one was necessary.
Not only did they make a list of unrealistic expectations that they expect girls to abide by, but they also made it clear that if girls fail to live up to these expectations they would then be categorized as "disgusting".
We watch our video one last time before uploading it to SunBabes, our YouTube Channel.
Seconds later I hear the familiar high pitch *ping* sound from my MacBook marking the first of many "likes" on our video. I turn the laptop to silent, so I won't have to hear the notifications for the rest of the night.
I make my way to the bathroom so I can get ready for bed. While I brush my teeth I look in the full length mirror that's mounted on the door. I see a small girl with blonde hair, green eyes, and pink lips that are too big for her face staring back at me. I make eye contact with myself through the reflective glass which makes me uncomfortable, so I turn away and spit out my tooth paste. Then I put my retainer in before exiting the bathroom.
"Oh shit!" I yell when I open the door to Brooke standing right behind it, catching me off guard and scaring the shit out of me at the same time.
"Hahaha sorry didn't mean to scare you I was just about to knock cause you were taking forever!" Brooke laughed.
Brooke is taller than me and has dark blonde hair, blue eyes and, freckles. Brooke is so much prettier than me, I'm so jealous.
"Oh, sorry I'll try not to take so long next time. I just get distracted by my own reflection sometimes cause I'm just that hot" I say sarcastically, and I flip my hair.
"Haha sureee. I was thinking though..." Brooke starts
I interrupt her with "Oh no not again..."
"Shut up, I actually meant to talk to you about an idea..." she says behind her laughter.
"Okay continue."
"So you know our rant was great and everything, but I think we can do better.." She states.
"Better?"
"Much better and funnier too," she says.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I smirk.
"Oh most definitely." We both look at each other's menacing grins that adorned each of our faces before bursting into a fit of laughter.
