Baylee
After my talk with Rydel, I didn't even bother to talk to Ross again. I told Rydel to tell him that I stopped by, and that I needed to talk to him. But I left Rydel's almost 3 hours ago. I'm kind of losing my confidence and determinition to tell him.
I finished writing about Rydel hours ago, if we get any closer, she just may end up getting a letter from me. Along with more of our memories written in my journal.
It was around 8 o'clock that night when my doorbell rang. I was in the middle of watching Four Weddings, an episode in which this lady had a drive-in movie themed wedding.
I groaned whilst standing up from the couch. Jake has called me a couch potato numerous amounts of times, to which I measly ignored. I made my way to the front door, opening it only to become face-to-face with the certain blond I was looking for 5 hours ago.
I groaned once again earning a chuckle from him. "Well hello to you too."
"What are you doing here Ross?" I really didn't feel like talking to him, or anyone for that matter. Jake already went to bed and my father was in the dining room, doing god knows what.
"I came over because Rydel said that you paid a little visit today, and that you needed to talk to me about something."
I sighed. I really didn't feel like telling him when I was half awake to the world. "I don't really feel like talking about it anymore."
I watched as his face dropped. He looked a little, almost disappointed. Hey, it wasn't my fault that he wasn't home when I wanted to talk.
"Look," I began, "it can wait. I have time." not much I added into my head, but I still had time.
He nodded looking a little relieved that it wasn't overly important.
A pout came onto my lips causing Ross to let out a chuckle. "What's with the pout?" His finger reached out poking my cheek, causing a small smile to break through.
"Now I feel bad."
"Why do you feel bad?"
I sighed. "Because, you walked all the way over here to hear what I had to say and now I'm not even going to tell you."
"Baylee, I only live next door. Not in China." he chuckled. "Besides, you said that it wasn't too important. It's not really a life or death situation."
Oh, if only you knew how wrong you were boy. It may not be life or death for him, but it is one hundred percent with me.
My face paled and upon seeing this expression, Ross stopped chuckling. "What's wrong?"
I shook my head, showing him a fake smile that I'm pretty sure he wouldn't buy but it was worth a shot. "Nothing. Why don't you come in?"
He shook his head. I frowned. Does he not want to hang out with me? I mean it is already almost 8:30 but what does that matter?
Did I do something wrong? Yeah, you haven't told him that you have 3 months left to live. Well, besides that.
"Let's go out to your backyard." he suggested smirking. I mentally sighed.
I haven't even been out to my backyard. The weather, strangely enough, has been terrible. Lots of rain that they're not used to having.
"I've never been back there." I shyly admitted.
"Seriously?" I nodded. "Well you don't know what you're missing, it's awesome." He took off towards the gate leading towards my backyard.
I slipped my feet into a pair of 5 dollar flip flops before slowly making my way towards the blond in my backyard.
