Happy reading!
Satisfied. That's the word that came to mind. Yes, I felt satisfied and it's all thanks to Caleb. I felt so satiated and content. Pure bliss.
And no it's not what you're thinking. You dirty minded people.
"That was the best tasting spaghetti and meatballs I have ever eaten." I sighed, sliding down in the couch with just one thought in mind, Sleep.
I fluffed the pillows and cuddled in them, trying to get comfortable. So I could drift to la la land. This is the life.
Caleb chuckled. "Well thank you."
He lifted my feet and put it in his lap so he could sit in the same couch.I reluctantly opened one of my eyes. "You know we're still not friends. I'm not forgiving you so easily." I yawned. "But I can be persuaded." I grinned mischievously.
I threw one of the pillows at him and it hits him in the face and fell to the ground.
"For instance, this pillow needs fluffing."He pursed his lips and reached for the pillow, fluffing it without complain. "Will cooking for you regularly help?" He asked, hopefully.
"Mhmm..." I said, drifting off to a land where Caleb cooks anything and everything I want. That would be heaven on earth.
"Avril?" I felt him shift my legs and got up. I tried to keep my eyes close, but it was hard to ignore the shadow that was blocking the light that was there before. I squinted at the shadow. He was hanging over me, grinning like an idiot. "Open your eyes, I'm speaking to you."
I huffed. "Yes?"
"Will cooking help?" He asked, poking me in the face.
I sighed and turned my face snuggling into the couch, ignoring him. "Leave me alone," I cried in the pillow.
He spun me around. Then paused, staring at me for a moment. "Why are your eyes glazed over? Are you high?" He shook me with concern.
I rolled my eyes and glared.
"No I don't think so. But I think your delicious cooking has fused some of the blood vessels in my brain. I just wanna sleep," I whined. He poked me again."I'm not sure if that's a compliment."
"Let me sleep!" I snapped, feeling sleep deprived.
Finally, a few minutes went by without him pestering me so I thought he would let me sleep in peace. That was not the case.
"Well that's not gonna happen." He started tickling me.
I gasped. "Caleb!" I squirmed, trying to get out of his hold but it was pointless. I screamed and kicked and wailed but he was persistent. He was at it for a few minutes when I decided if I didn't wave the white flag, I would surely pee myself.
"I. won't. fall. asleep!" I screamed.
"That's all I wanted to hear." He said satisfied, instantly ending my torture.
I sat up, holding my side and plopped my feet in his lap, feeling a little irritated. "Yes cooking will help you get on my good side." I muttered.
His face instantly brightened. "Great!"
He was looking even more handsome tonight, if that was even possible. His black hair had grown out since the last time I've seen him and it was becoming a tad curly. It just complimented his dark green eyes even better. I didn't tell him that though.
"Yes but tickling me, dropped you in the negatives. So you have work to do," I said smugly while he pushed my feet off his lap and huffed.
