Chapter 18

Cassidy's P.O.V

Walking beside Luke feels... I'm not quite sure how to describe it. It's a much different feeling than being with Trevor, but it doesnt feel wrong. This just feels right. It makes my stomach turn in knots and my cheeks turn warm and pink. When I'm with Trevor it's just intense happiness and I feel like a kid with him. Not that it's a bad thing, but with Luke it's different and I think I like it.

"Cassssss?" Luke said, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Sorry I got lost in thought.." I said.

"Yeah I noticed. Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes I'm fine. I was just thinking." I replied.

"Well on a totally unrelated topic, we're here!" Luke said gesturing towards all the cast iron street lights.

"Yay! The Urban Lights! You know.. as long as I've lived in LA I've never been here, but it's beautiful." I said.

"Yeah I mean I've got a good view alright." He said looking straight at me.

I didnt really know how to respond.. or if I should even respond at all. If I respond negatively, he's going to think I don't like him, but if I respond positvely then Trevor's going to be hurt.

Just then I was getting a call.

Cassidy: hello?
Anon: I'll help you decide. Choose Luke. Trevor is cheating on you.
*Anon hangs up and the phone line turns to a beep*

"Cassidy what was that all about?" Luke asked.

"Oh it was just my mom calling to make sure I'm okay, but my reception sucks so the call cut out.." I explained.

"Oh okay. Make sure you text her so she know you're safe with me." He said flashing a smile.

I recieved a text.

"Yeah I'll text her now!" I said smiling back.

I unlocked my phone to see a picture message from a blocked number. Not just any picture. A picture of Trevor and Alexis together.

I recieved another text from the same blocked number.

"Told you so. -anon." It said.

I decided to put away my phone for the rest of the night. If Trevor's gonna be like that then that's his loss. Besides Luke is cuter and sweeter anyways.
