Chapter 8

Cassidy's P.O.V.

After Jen walked away I turned to look at Trevor, who was examining the device he was given.

"I'm so sorry. I knew I shouldn't have dragged you into this." I said.

"Cassidy.." Trevor began, but paused to sigh.

"I already told you. I don't care what it takes. I want to be with you and I'm going to fight for you." He finished.

"I know, but you don't know what anon has on me. They always say the game is going to end, but it never ends. It's constant torture. It's like a big black whole I've been sucked into and the exit just keeps floating further and further away." I said on the verge of tears.

"Well I'm gonna be your hero. I'm going to help you escape that no matter what it takes." Trevor said with a sweet, soft, reassuring tone while caressing me in his strong, but gentle arms.

"You don't have to do this. You can just leave now before it's too late for you to leave." I said softly.

"Never." Trevor whispered into my ear, holding me tighter.

*TIME SKIP*

[Next Day]

I woke up alone in my room. I don't remember getting here, but at some point I must have fallen asleep last night. I really wish Trevor was here.

I texted him and asked if he had received his task yet and while waiting for a response, I checked for my task, but I hadn't yet gotten a message. A few minutes later Trevor texted back that he hadn't gotten his either.

Trevor's P.O.V

I wish I could've told Cassidy the truth about my task. I had received it. My task was to meet up with Jen at 11 P.M tonight and to not tell Cassidy anything about it or that I had even received it.

I decided to just edit a few videos to kill time, but when I had finished with that it was only 7 P.M so I tweeted I was going to the grove so I could make a few local fans smile.

Finally, it was about time to meet up with Jen. The place wasn't too far from where I was. Only about a 10 minute walk. I arrived to the location and it was an old apartment building. It seemed like people still lived there, which made me feel more secure. Out of nowhere I just got this feeling like someone was behind me, so I turned around to see Cassidy and Jen standing together.
