Chapter6: Terry and Terra
We docked. "Ok now we don't want to draw to much attention to ourselves. Word is the kings pons aren't to nice. So no swords, no axes, and no rifles. We each get one pistol and two daggers that we will hide in or boots. Oh and we dress like regular citizens" I tell them placing a box of weapons on the table in the captains quarters. We each find two daggers.
We get off the ship and walk down this long ass road. The women here aren't half bad. But the thing is, hell I'm not even sure if Rose and I are actually together or is that was just a one time thing. Either way I better not take any chances. "So what exactly are we even looking for?" Rose asks. "We need someone who can read a map. So how about we find a map store." Lockjaw says.
"Lockjaw lad, what the hell is a map store. Have you ever even heard of a map store?" I ask. "Uh... No but I assumed.. Whatever. Lets just find a library or something." He says. Rose just looks at him. "Now you're thinking lad!" I shout. "I'll see you there." I tell them. I start running, I see a teenage girl being cornered by two men and a woman. I stop running and leap in without warning.
"Hey lads! What's up? Now I see you're busy and all but I have a bit of a proposition. Leave this poor girl alone and play a game? The game is called knock out. The rules are simple, if you don't leave her alone I knock you all unconscious. Deal?" I tell them.Without a word the woman swings at me. I duck and punch her in the nose. She's pretty fit, not as big as Lockjaw. But pretty damn big. One of the men steps up. "No! This little bastard is mine!" The woman shouts wiping blood from her nose. She charges at me and slams my back into the wall. She begins punching me in the stomach.
"How's this for a proposition asshole!?" She shouts at me. I kick her in the stomach and punch her in the face twice. "That sentence didn't make since. Ya didn't actually give me a proposition." I tell her catching my breath. "Here it is. Die or die!" She says as she picks me up by my throat.
"Tempting but I'll pass on both." I say struggling to breathe. "Ok here's a new one. Wall A or B?" She asks. "No No No Wait!" I shout as she throws me through a wooden wall. It hurts. A lot. I stand up and look around. It's a restaurant. Fancy too. She approachs me. I pick up a wine glass from some table. "Can I buy you a drink?" I ask taunting her. She snacks it out of my hand. "Yea you're right I'm rushing. I haven't even asked for your name yet." I say smiling.
"Name's Crush! Let me show you why!" She shouts getting closer. "Ok, my fault again. Why would I offer you one glass of wine? When you can have the whole bottle!" I say picking it up and slamming it against her head. She stumbles. "Now I'd hate to hit a lady but..." I begin. I punch her as hard as I can. "I'm not sure what you are." I say looking at her unconscious body. Guards rush in.
Think think think. "Oh thank heavens you've arrived! This woman came in here and threatened to kill my wife if I didn't pay her what she asked!" I shout grabbing a woman and putting my arm around her. I slip gold coins into her hand to make sure she plays along. "She tried to kill my husband but he got the drop on her!" She says with an emotional voice.
"Ok settle down. It's OK now. We got her." One of the guards says. Two guards grab her and begin dragging her out after they but her in chains. She wakes up. "This isn't over you little shit! When I find you I'm gonna bite your God damn head off!" She shouts. The men that came with her ran. I let the woman go once they left. I went back outside to the girl they were bothering.
"You alright kid?" I ask. "Yea I'm fine thanks." She replies. "So why was old moby dick after you anyway?" I ask her. "Because I stole this." She says holding up a treasure map. "You stole a treasure map!? Is crush or crash or whatever the hell that bloody things name was a pirate!?" I shout. "Yes and yes." She responds smiling. "Why are you smiling this is dangerous kid!" I tell her. "Me and my brother are gonna be rich that's why!" If you're not dead first." I tell her. I begin feeling a pain wet substance on my back.
