Chapter2: Guapito island

"It's been two weeks and we're out of food James." Rose complains. She slides down in her chair as she uses a stone to sharpen her French saber. "Are you complaining about food again?" I ask her. "Yea its kinda hard not to." She grunts. "IF YOU WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN LATE WE COULD'VE CARRIED A HELL OF A LOT MORE FOOD!" I yelled. "Let's not point fingers, I'm just saying I'm hungry and if you would've told me how far away Guapito island was I WOULD'VE PACKED MORE FOOD!" She yells.

A pineapple drops off the shelf. We both stop and stare at it. Five minutes later we're on the deck with our swords out. The pineapple is the prize. "You're outmatches here love, I've been swinging this sword since before you could wipe your own bum." I say twirling my Mexican saber. "Really? Because I recall being three months older than you and you never complained about my bum before." She said as she gets into her stance.

We clash. She always on the offensive. Poor girl can't block a blade but she can use one. I go for a strike but she blocks easily. I stand mistaken. I begin using more force in my swing. Faster and stronger. She can't handle it. She stumbles. I hit her sword as hard as I can knocking her down. "Don't worry love you'll get half of it." I say as I help her up. "You cheated. Dirty pirate." She groans. "Not all pirates cheat some just have skill. Which you obviously don't lack completly." I respond as I slice the pinaleappe in half.

"Where'd you learn to use a blade like that?" Rose asks. "Remember Captain Geezers grandson?" I ask. "The one who was casts out of town when we were kids? What was his name?" She asks. "Clinton, I ran into him one day while me and my mom were hunting. He showed up and challenged me. I was about 14. After he beat me. He told me to come back everyday and he would train me. Turns out the reason he trained me was so I would help him rob the king. I refused he was banished after he got caught." I told her.

We spotted the island and got ready to drop anchor. We docked and got off the boat. "First thing I need is clothes. I can't be a captain with just a t shirt, ripped pants and sandals. And with all the coin the town gave us I can afford what I need. We'll load on on food when we leave." I told her. "Alright I'll meet you back at the ship when you finish shopping." She said. I nodded and walked away.

I bought a black pirate coat with red cuffs and red buttons. I bought red pants and black boots. I also filled up on ammunition. The rest of the money is for food. It took me a few hours to find all the places with the things I needed since I don't know my way around. I was also able to find the prison's location. I began walking back to the ship. I feel like a real pirate now. My swords on my hips with my pistols next to them. When I arrive at the ship Rose isn't there.

"Let me go!" She yells. I turn to see her being carried away by guards. "Stop fighting!" A guard yells. "Kiss my ass!" She responds. I run over to her. "Let her go." I demand. "This one must be with her take him too." He says to the other two guards. I draw my pistols aim them at the guards. "You have four seconds to let her go." I demand. They draw their pistols. One...Two....Three......Four! *BANG!* *BANG!* They drop. Both shot in the head. The towns folk scream and run. The other guard let's her go. About eight guards start running our way with their swords out.

"Time to go!" I shout. We begin running. "How'd you get caught anyway?" I ask. "They asked me who owned the ship I told the guard it belonged to his mother." She responds. Its only been a couple weeks and she's already trying to get a bounty. I grabbed her hand and tossed her in the water. I dove in behind her. "Follow me." I said. We dove under and swam to the beach. Its getting dark. "Let's find a place to dry off and wait for dark." I say. We got under a nearby bridge. "Remember that time a couple years back when you told me about how you felt about me?" She asked. I don't wanna have this conversation.

"We better move out now." I demand. The streets are empty. Time to make our way to the prison.
