A Deed, Not a Deal

Memories Dipper dreaded and feared to remember came flooding into his mind. Trying as hard as he could, he pushed them aside.

A yellow dream demon he knew all to well floated out into sight, twirling his cane. He laughed again, his shrill voice echoing in the cave system.

"Long time no see, Pine Tree!!" The triangle raised his only eye up in mischief. "I see you've met my-" Bill looked a tad disgusted as he emphasized, "sorta friend Ver RaFyle here!" The triangle floated ever so slightly away from the odd girl and towards Dipper.

Dipper could barely manage a nod. He felt so helpless. He was scared; legitimately scared for the first time in forever.

Gulping, he looked to Ver. "What do you want with me?"

Ver stepped forward to answer, but before Ver could respond, Bill rushed around Dippers head holding up his black stick hands. "What?! No hello? No, Nice to see you too? Not even a fuck you Bill?! Come on Pine Tree!" Bill muttered something to himself that sounded like, "Isn't that what humans do your age? Use weird language words to ridicule others?"

Dipper was expressionless. He barely held his ground as he said, "Leave me alone Bill."

"Yeah leave the poor kid alone, Bill," Ver chimed in. She pointed at herself. "It's my turn to have some fun with this human!" Her smile was eery as she finished her sentence.

Bill scoffed. "Ver, you always have fun with my toys." He floated over to an edge of the cavern and sat. It was odd to see a triangle sit like he was. Unnatural. His tiny, thin, black legs dangled while his nearly 2-dimensional body "sat". Still, it was to be expected of the place in which Dipper stood.

Ver took a step toward the nearly shivering 16 year old. With a wave of her hand, she whips a long black cane out of the air, with ease. It was much like Bill's which hung suspended near his small triangle body. Except, Ver's was much bigger. Human sized.

"Back to business." Walking up to Dipper, she leans on her cane nearly coming face to face with him. He goes a pace backward turning jis head away from the female demon. His face was twisted in fear.

"You're cute, Dipper. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you." She giggles like a school girl gossiping, leaning back and forth slightly with her laugh. "But! If I'm going to have a good time with you, sacrifices shall be made. Old man Ford was too old and useless for me to toy with," She whines. "You on the other hand..."

Ver leaps back a great length, holding her cane above her head as she takes a stance. She grins. "The minute I place the end of this cane on the ground, your assigned deed will go into place." She emphasized deed with mischief written all over her whole body. "I'll talk you through it later. You just, you know. You can't tell anyone we met, where me met or where Ford went and is."

Dipper gulps, though his throat feels shut tight. This can't be happening, he thinks. Backing away slowly, he hits the cold cavern wall. He brings his sweaty palms against the colored wall and tried grasping it, to no avail. His back flat against it he turns back towards Ver. His heart beat like drums in his chest.

"Oh and Dipper? You don't have any say in this. If you disobey there WILL be consequences." Ver flicks her hair out of her face, her eyes staring straight into Dippers'. "One's you will hate! You're my puppet now!!!"

She laughs and with a wave of her cane in the air, Ver slammed the bottom of it to the ground. It emanated a violet glow that spread throughout the room in an instant, making Dipper slam into the wall he was already leaning against, knocking him out cold. Bill was sent flying backwards, the violet ray knocking him back into the dreamscape and out of reality.

Ver laughed maniacally. "Finally, a way to have some real fun! This is great!" With a snap of her fingers, her physical body slowly faded, leaving behind a sparkling purple dust.

Dipper held his head as it span. The ache he felt though, in the back of his skull, was nothing. His heart pounded in his chest and he could barely breath again.

"This... This honestly can not be happening", he said to himself. Slowly he brought his head up and surveyed the now, almost, pitch black cavern. It was night now.

The opening to the cave was open now, the glossy forcefield gone now.

Realizing he was still kind of sprawled against the wall, from being flung into it, he slowly used the wall to stand back up again. Regaining his balance, leaning one hand against the wall, he was finally able to breathe normally again.

Slowly and steadily Dipper walked to the entrance of the cave, looking out into the forrest.

"This is going to be a long summer..." He muttered to himself. Squinting his eyes out among the trees, his vision became blurry. Clutching his head, he fell to his knees, then went limp. He fell to the cold ground, his body half inside the cave, half outside it.
