{A/N: As you all probably already know, Gravity Falls has ended and the finale has aired. As I reread chapters 1-5 of this fanfic, I've realized that there are many inconsistencies clashing with canon and noncanon. Of course, this is because, well, how was I to know what happens in the Finale? Which was beautiful btw.

So, I'm not going to change or rewrite anything. Instead, I've decided to just keep on writing this one as a side project while I start and focus more on a new Gravity Falls fan fiction, in accordance to the Finale events. Thanks, and don't worry. My story with Verra will return.}

To clarify what happened in The last chapter, a depressed and lonely Mabel is taken captive after a pair of Verra's thugs drug her in her own room. Verra plans to use Mabel to her advantage so that Dipper won't make it difficult for her. Verra is evil.

"Hey, Grunkle Stan?"

"Oh! Uh, Dipper, you're awake," Stan hovered near Dipper. "Welcome back to the land of living Kid."

Dipper attempted to lift his head and sit up, only to fail and cringe in pain as his head fell back to the pillow again. Taking his hand he traced his forehead and found it bandaged and a definite bump above his right eye. Then came the piercing headache. Or more so, the head pain. It felt as if a needle was shooting through his head and out the other side.

Nearly screaming out in pain, Dipper grasped his head. Eyes shut as tight as he could close them, he still felt as if they were about to pop out of his head. His body seemed to spasm each time the pain shot through his skull.

Stan might had been talking. Dipper couldn't hear him. Something was making a shrieking noise and it was blocking everything out.

Finally turning onto his left side, he curled his body into a ball, still grasping his head frantically as the pain only worsened. Tears of pain fell from his tight eyes. The screeching sound softened to a shrill whimper. Dipper could barely think straight, but with one last thought before he blacked out from the pain, he thought, Perhaps thats my screaming. I can't really tell. Sorry Stan.

Stanley Pines could only watch helplessly as his great nephew had what he could only guess to be an aftershock or seizure from hitting his head. Through his own head, the only thing he could think was, Don't die. Dipper do not die. Please just stop.
