Sawyer's POV

"Calling Sawyer Fredericks to the stage please!" The stage manager called.

I nervously headed for the stage. My family was nowhere to be seen. I walked onto the stage with my guitar.

"In Constant Sorrow, All Through My Days"

Nothing happened.

"I am a man of constant sorrow. I've seen trouble all my days."

Still nothing.

"I bid farewell to old Kentucky a place where I was born and raised."

Nothing was happening.

As I started out the last verse nobody's chair had turned yet. I finally finished the song and nothing had happened. All four chairs had turned and the judges sat there with sympathetic looks on there faces. All of a sudden Christina blurted out...

"Look kid I'm sorry! You just aren't talented!"

I felt the tears stinging my eyes.

"Dude, are you crying?" Adam laughed.

Soon the whole audience was laughing hysterically.

I shot up in bed. I looked at the clock. It was only about 1:00. I felt Violet stir beside me and she sat up.

"Sawyer? Are you ok?" She asked concerned.

I choked on a sob.

"They said I wasn't talented. They were all laughing at me!" I buried my head in my hands. Violet started to rub my back.

"Sawyer, it was just a dream. I promise. You are so talented! If those judges don't see how awesome you are I promise I'm deleting all of my Maroon 5 songs and Happy off of my phone! Ok maybe not Maroon 5 because Adam is hot but Pharrell is gone!"

I laughed a little.

"See? I promise it's going to be ok. Tomorrow you're going to nail the auditions! I promise!" She said.

I lifted my head and wiped the tears off of my face and out of my eyes. I felt Violet's breath on my neck. I turned to face her. She pressed her lips onto mine and we fell backwards onto the bed. It started from a small kiss to a make-out session. It was surely audible. We took it one step farther than usual. In France. I gently laid my tongue on her lip and she opened her mouth. We continued like that for a few minutes. Our kiss escalating from a piano to a fortissimo. Soon we heard a knock at the door and we jumped away from each other.

"Yeah?" I called.

"I don't care what you do as long as you use protection!" My mom yelled.

I face palmed.

"Mom why would you even think we would, what the crap?" I yelled.

"Sorry. I figured you two would never do that but just keep it down!" She yelled back.

Meanwhile Violet was laughing hysterically.

"Don't worry Mrs. F! The worst he'll do is give me herpes!" She screamed.

"VIOLET!" I yelled.

My mom walked in almost doubled over in laughter. Violet at this point was rolling around on the floor howling with giggles. I just sat there trying to process what was going on.

"Relax Sawyer. I knew you two would never do anything even remotely close to that ok? It was just a joke!" My mom said starting to calm down. "Besides, I do care. If you did I would surely murder you. Ok?" She said.

I stared at the ground in embarrassment.

Violet was starting to calm down too. She climbed into bed and laid down. My mom gave her forehead a kiss and did the same to me.

"Now both of you, get some sleep!" She said as she left back for her room.

I laid down and rested my head in the crook of Violet's neck.

"Hey, don't worry about tomorrow. Everything is going to be fine. I promise. Ok Saw-Bug?"

"I know. Thanks for that. Hey, Little-Flower is kind of long don't you think?"

"Yeah. But you aren't calling me Vi. That is literally the most cliche name ever. Got it?"

"What about Flower? Just flower."

"I like Flower names but not Flower. Violet is a flower."

"Ok. Iris?"

"Nah, all the fanfics use that."

"Wait what?"

"Literally every fanfic uses Iris."

"The fuck?"

"Nothing."

"Ok how about Daisy?"

"No."

"Rose?"

"Jack."

"Orchid?"

"Nope."

"Tulip?"

"Call me that once and I'll kill you."

"Then what do I call you?"

"Why do I need a nickname?!"

"Look I'll come up with one later."

She nodded and then we fell asleep.
