Chapter Twenty Five - Blackout

At a Shadow Fist research facility located at an undisclosed location, Shadow Fist operatives begin work on the Supercomputer within the base. During their study of the Supercomputer, the Base's overseer was contacted by the mysterious leader of Shadow Fist.

???(Computer): What is the status of the Supercomputer? 

Shadow Fist Overseer: My team has already established a strong connection to Lyoko. I have already sent agents to siphon the data from Sector Olympus. 

???(Computer): Very good, Overseer. I must warn you that activity has spiked within Lyoko. Be on the lookout for a XANA attack. 

Shadow Fist Overseer: Understood, sir. 

With that, the call ended. The Shadow Fists Operatives within the facility continued to work on collecting the data needed. Meanwhile in another part of the facility, a spectre of XANA enters the production line and phases into the main computer. As the spectre enters the computer, the computer powers up and the screen displays the sign of XANA. At the same time, the production line powers up. As XANA sets it's plan in motion, the Shadow Fist Operatives remain unaware of the activity. The production line quickly produces XANA's Monsters. As the Monsters were created, they began to discretely make their way to the Scanner Room. Back in the main research facility, the Overseer contacts the Agents within Lyoko.

Shadow Fist Overseer: Agent Six, what is your ETA on siphoning the data?

Silence was heard. 

Shadow Fist Overseer: Agent Six, do you copy?

Once more, silence was heard. While the Overseer attempts to reestablish contact with the Shadow Fist Agents within Lyoko, XANA's Monsters had already breeched the research facility's Scanner Room and kill the Shadow Fist Operatives inside. Inside the command center, an Operative alerts the Overseer. 

Shadow Fist Operative: Overseer! I'm detecting activity within the Scanner Room! 

Shadow Fist Overseer: Damn! We've been compromised! Be ready to purge all data! We can't....

Suddenly, XANA's Monsters blasted the doors to the command center open and began pouring into it. The Shadow Fist Operatives were swarmed and overwhelmed by XANA's Monsters. The Overseer attempts to activate the research facility's purge protocols, but was shot by a Tarantula. As the Shadow Fist Operatives within the facility were wiped out, XANA's Monsters gained control of the research facility. At this time, another XANA spectre went into the Supercomputer to seize control of it. Meanwhile at the main Shadow Fist Base, a Shadow Fist Operative approached the leader. 

Shadow Fist Operative: Sir, we've lost contact with one of our bases. 

Upon hearing this, there was a moment of silence as the leader lights himself a cigarette. 

???: It seems XANA has made his move faster than anticipated. While not ideal, it can be rectified. The data from Sector Olympus is far to valuable to allow to fall into XANA's hands. Deploy a team to Sector Olympus. 

With that, the Shadow Fist was ready to enact it's response to XANA's attack on it's research facility. Meanwhile at Kadic Academy, Omega and the rest of the Lyoko Warriors were walking outside Kadic as classes ended. 

Odd: I sure am beat! Anybody wanna grab a bite?

Ulrich: You just had lunch. 

Odd: Half a lunch. You know I gave the rest to Kiwi. He's the only one who seems to love the food here. 

Yumi: I swear you're a handful sometimes. 

Odd: What can I say? It's part of my charm.

As Odd chuckles, Germain approached Omega. 

Omega: Hey Thomas! How's Kadic treating you?

Germain: Not too bad. If I'm being honest, this beats my old school.

Omega: How so? 

Germain: It wasn't a bad school. It just wasn't the most....exciting. In Kadic, there's always something to do. 

Omega: I'm glad you're enjoying yourself!

As Omega said this, Jeremy got a notification on his computer. He glances at it and becomes concerned. Germain was able to glimpse Jeremy's body reaction.

Jeremy: Hey Omega, I don't want to cut your conversation short, but we have a....study session to get to. 

Omega: O....oh! Right! I'll be seeing you later, Thomas!

With that, Omega and the Lyoko Warriors began walking away. It wasn't long before Germain received a call. 

Germain: Yes?

???(Phone): Agent Fenrir, one of our bases has been seized by XANA. I'll need you to lead the counter attack.

Germain: It looks like Omega and the others are on to XANA's attack. 

???(Phone): Is that right? 

Germain: This is a perfect opportunity for me to follow them to the location of their Supercomputer. 

???(Phone): Very well, but do not risk your cover. 

With that, Germain began preparing to tail the Lyoko Warriors. Meanwhile on their way to the Factory, Jeremy speaks with the Lyoko Warriors.

Jeremy: I detected an Activated Tower on Lyoko. 

Aelita: XANA? 

Jeremy: From what I was able to gather, it looks like XANA was following a signal like the one we found Shadow Fist in.

Omega: Do you think....

Jeremy: I don't know. But if our last excursion is of any indication, than it's most likely that XANA and Shadow Fist are about to fight each other. 

Odd: Sounds like we should just sit back and watch them take each other out?

Jeremy: Whatever these.....other Lyoko Sectors are, we can't afford to allow either Shadow Fist or XANA to get a hold of them. 

With that, the Lyoko Warriors began making their way to the Factory to prepare for their mission against the Shadow Fist and XANA. Little did they know was that they would be followed and observed by an agent of the Shadow Fist masquerading as a student.
