Chapter Twenty Six - Shadows

As Omega and the Lyoko Warriors began making their way to the Factory, Germain was tailing them. He took great care to follow them from a safe distance. He took note of which paths they took and what they used to get their. Germain quickly noticed the isolated nature of the path they took to the Factory. When they reached the Factory, Germain watched as Omega and the Lyoko Warriors stepped inside the Factory. Once they were inside, Germain contacts his superior. 

Germain: Sir, this is Agent Fenrir. I've tailed Omega and her friends. They're inside a factory. 

???(Phone): Factory?

Germain: Yes, sir. The Factory in Boulogne-Billancourt near Kadic Academy. 

???:(Phone): That would be consistent with the readings Mr. Nictapolus has detected. Perhaps the Factory is where the Supercomputer is. 

Germain: I could call in a strike team and neutralize the threat. 

???(Phone): No. Continue to monitor the Factory. We must focus on regaining control of Olympus from XANA's grip. Infiltrate the Factory see what we're dealing with. When the times come when we need to neutralize the threat, we'll do so. 

With that, Germain continues to watch over the Factory. Meanwhile in the Factory, Omega and the rest of the Lyoko Warriors get ready for their mission. Jeremy readies the Supercomputer while Omega and the others make their way to the Scanner Room. The Lyoko Warriors then make their way to the Scanner Room and get into the Scanners. Jeremy then virtualizes them into Lyoko, specifically Sector Five. 

Jeremy(Voice): Alright, everyone. I've located the Activated Tower in the Desert Sector, but the Shadow Fist signal is blocking me from virtualizing you into the Desert Sector. 

Omega: What's our next move? 

Jeremy(Voice): I'm uploading the Skidbladnir that'll take you to the signal XANA followed. But be warned. You'll be facing both XANA's Monsters and Shadow Fist operatives. 

Odd: Piece of cake. We can pull this off. 

Aelita: What's our move once we're in the sector? 

Jeremy(Voice): There should be some kind of Tower like the ones on Lyoko. If we can deactivate the Tower, we should be able to neutralize the presence of both XANA and Shadow Fist. 

As Jeremy said this, the Skidbladnir appeared. The Lyoko Warriors wasted no time in boarding the Skidbladnir and traversing the Digital Sea. After a brief journey, they reached Olympus where an all out battle was being fought between XANA's Monsters and Shadow Fist Operatives. 

Ulrich: Man, talk about a meat grinder. 

Aelita and Omega quickly spot the Activated Tower at the center of a fierce battle between XANA's Monsters and Shadow Fist Operatives. 

Yumi: Looks like they're really trying to go over the Tower. 

Odd: Well what are we waiting for? Let's go down there and....

Before Odd could rush down there, Ulrich and Yumi pulled him back. 

Yumi: Are you crazy, Odd?! Look at what's going on down there! We're outnumbered! 

Ulrich: But we have to get to that Tower one way or another. 

Aelita and Omega began surveying the area looking for a way to slip past both XANA's Monsters and the Shadow Fist Operatives. Omega spots a narrow path. 

Omega: What about that path? That'll take us straight to the Tower! 

Aelita: It will, but it's pretty narrow. There's no way all of us are going to move through that path without attracting any attention. 

Odd: Then how about we send one of you? I mean, all we need is either you or Omega to get into that Tower deactivated and boom. Day saved. 

Ulrich: That's a good idea, but where does that leave the rest of us? 

Odd: That leaves us with the fun part! I mean, we could sit back and watch XANA and Shadow Fist duke it out, why not we get get some well deserved payback? 

As Odd said that, some of the Lyoko Warriors were skeptical about this.

Yumi: And if we do that, we'll have both Shadow Fist and XANA up our necks. Not to mention if we get devirtualized, Omega will be all by herself. 

Ulrich: I hate to say it, but Odd might be on to something. Even if Omega manages to avoid being detected from both Shadow Fist and XANA, that Tower is still going to be heavily defended. And they'll be on her the moment she tries to get into the Tower. 

Aelita: I agree. If we can draw the Monsters and Shadow Fist Operatives away from the Tower, we can give Omega an opening to deactivate the Tower. 

Omega: I can do this. 

With that, a plan was agreed. Aelita and the rest of the Lyoko Warriors would provide a distraction while Omega used the narrow path to navigate around Olympus and to the Activated Tower. Meanwhile as all this happened, Germain stepped foot inside the Factory. He immediately began taking pictures of what he saw. He then sees the elevators that no doubt took the Lyoko Warriors to where they needed to go. He then climbs down the emergency ladder to the lower levels. When he reaches one of the rooms, Germain spots an intricate, heavy-looking metal door. It didn't take Germain long to surmise that this was an important room for the Lyoko Warriors. Not wanting to risk exposure, he takes a picture of the door and climbs up the ladder and makes his way out of the Factory. While the Lyoko Warriors were facing both XANA and Shadow Fist on Olympus, Germain had infiltrated the Factory and exited before they even realized it.
