/////Three Years Later///////
"Piper Grace Scott, it's your nineteenth birthday. You have got to get up."
She lifted her head to look at the nightstand beside her,
12:50pm.
"Tobes. I. Don't. Want. To." She replied shoving her head in her pillow.
"Fine, I'll just go open the huge package on the kitchen table for you." October, her roommate and best friend said smirking.
She groaned and lifted her head up. "You wouldn't."
"Yes, I actually would. The thing has been sitting there all morning."
October said annoyed.
Piper threw her feet over the side of her comfortable bed and onto the cool hardwood floor.
"Shoot." She said shivering as she walked across the icy floor to her closet.
She pulled on her huge sweatshirt that read "coffee" in white letters, her favorite pajama shorts, and her fluffy slippers.
She then walked slowly down the hall and into their small kitchen, where a huge brown box was displayed on the table.
"I'm glad you actually decided to get up before dinner." Said October smiling.
"Piss off." Piper said picking up a pair of scissors and walking towards the big box.
She started peeling off the the packaging tape and using her scissors to get the tape that was being difficult off, after a minuet or two she felt October besides her waiting on her to open it.
When Piper finally did open the mysterious thing she revealed a lot of tissue paper and newspaper, to keep whatever was inside okay.
When she threw all the tissue paper and newspaper out she revealed an old ripped jean jacket and a piece of notebook paper with messy handwriting.
She took the paper in her hands and started to read;
Dear Piper,
I've missed you so much, and have been thinking of you a lot lately. I decided it was because of your upcoming birthday, but I don't even know anymore.  All of the boys say I'm not focusing, so I thought sending you this would clear my mind, and make you realize I still love you.  I saw the jacket in my bunk and thought about the night I gave it to you.  I remember when I told you I loved you and you said it back, finally. I miss that, hell, I miss us. Just remember that I did what I had to do to get where I am today and I never stopped caring for you.
                                                                    -Luke xx
She crumpled the paper up into a ball and threw it on the ground, she then took her shaking hands and picked up the jacket.
She smelt Luke and immediately put the jacket on and felt traces of him all over her.  She smiled and felt infinite.
She looked back to see October holding crinkled up paper in her hands ,
"Who the hell is Luke?" She asked cocking her head to the side.
Pipers smiled faded and she took off the jacket, throwing it back into the box.
She remembered him with the right he had done to her, instead of the wrong, and when she took the jacket off she felt all of the pain from the words he had thrown at her.
"Nobody." She mumbled taking the paper out of her hand and placing it back into the box as well.
"Will you take this down to the to the dumpsters when you take your trash down, please." She said picking up the box.
She started walking into their small living room and over to their door, October still following.
"You want me to throw that away?" She asked.
"Yes." Piper said with no emotion.
"Why?" October asked leaning against their small couch.
Piper rolled her eyes and sighed,
"Reasons that are so old and none of your business." Piper said walking towards her bedroom.
"I'm going to be in my room. Don't come bother me unless it's urgent." She paused and looked at the ceiling.
"Actually don't bother me at all." She said shutting her door.

About twenty minuets into her Netflix marathon and soaking herself with self pity her door was slammed opened revealing October.
She sighed, "I though I told you-" October cut her off.
"You didn't tell me you knew Luke Hemmings." She said with wide eyes.
"How did you-?" October cut her off again.
"I googled Luke, and then the most popular name was Luke Hemmings." She took in a breath and continued.
"I looked him up, and the first picture was him wearing that jacket, and then I looked up his signature and it was a match." October said too fast.
October was breathing heavy and waiting for a replie.
"Well nice going, Sherlock." Piper said with a weak smile.
"I used to love that band so much." October said chuckling.
"Why do you not like him, he's gorgeous and obviously likes you." She said smiling.
Piper looked at her hands and smiled at the fact October had called her Luke, her awkward Luke "gorgeous" .
Then she remembered he wasn't hers anymore and her smile faded as soon as she opened her mouth.
"He was my best friend." She started. "He was always there for me, he told me he would protect me, which he did." She smiled.
"Or at least for awhile." She said feeling all of her blood going to her head.
She tapped the spot on the bed next to her and watched October pad over to her.
When she sat down she continued.
"He was my world, then one day he simply left, and it wasn't because of a fight or anything." She shook her head and chuckled.
"It was because he could."
She felt the tears that were brimming her eyes roll down her cheeks.
October stared long and hard at Piper, her bestfriend, and started to cry as well.
October opened her arms and Piper fell into them, silently sobbing into her shirt.
After forever October finally spoke,
"I'll throw away that damn jacket, okay?"
Piper chuckled and nodded.
That's all she could do,
right?

This scene played out to me like a scene in a movie.
Enjoy, I guess.
