A/N & TW: Hi friends, I wanted to give a quick trigger warning and note before you start reading. This chapter is second heaviest chapter that Cherry Bomb will have. This chapter includes excessive drinking (to the point of sickness). It does include mentions of vomit, but it's very brief in comparison to the previous chapter that included it. If this is something you feel would be triggering, or too much to read, and you need a summary, please do not hesitate to comment and we can figure out a way for me to get it to you. Take care of yourself first, always. - L xo

Sitting in a chair with my thumb wedged between my teeth as I chew on my cuticle, I feel the hairdresser putting one of the last few waves in my hair with her curling wand. Christy stands in front of me as she looks over my makeup, and she leans in to pull my hand away from my mouth as she applies some more shimmer to my eyelids.
"You better stop chewing on that thumb like that," she reprimands me playfully. "Lys will have your head if she sees you ruined your nails before you even make it onto the red carpet."
Today was the day of the awards show that we had been planning my appearance at for months now, and as nervous as I am about that in itself, I'm more nervous as the fact that Harry left right before I started getting ready this morning, and he hasn't been back since.
"I just don't understand where he could be."
Christy sighs as she sets her makeup brush down, and she grabs some setting spray. I close my eyes as I already know what's coming before she starts to mist my face.
"He'll be back. He knows how much today means to you. There was a lot of hustle and bustle happening this morning as we were setting everything up to get you ready. It could've been a little much for him, you know?" Christy says as she fans my face with her hand, and I blink my eyes open.
"I know. I just wish he would've said something before disappearing. No one's heard from him still?"
"I don't think so, but I can double check with Lys really quick since your makeup is finished."
"If you wouldn't mind," I say, and I reach out to give her hand a squeeze. "Thank you for all your help today. I don't think I could've handled all this without my usual team here."
"Of course." Christy smiles with a nod. "I wouldn't have missed this."
Christy exits the bathroom right as the hair stylist also finishes up, and once she douses my hair with some hairspray, she exits while I thank her as well.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I tilt my head to the side as I take all of this in. I don't look much different than I usually do, but my face is definitely more glammed up than normal. I wanted more dramatic eye makeup considering my dress is just plain black with some lace. My eyebrows raise as I see Kailey standing in the doorway, and I can see she's all dressed and ready to go.
