Brandon's POV

The rest of the day was bad, oh it was bad. I spent it falling in and out of panic attacks. I could only think of Abby inbetween. I needed her to hold me and comfort me.

Around five in the afternoon, my door opened, and I cried harder for some reason.

"Whoa, calm down," I heard Shane say.

I looked up and saw him shutting the door. "W-what do you want?" I sniffled.

"You don't have to break up with that girl," he stated and sat on my bed.

"Yes I do, mom is making me," I choked.

"But think about it, how much of your relationship can Mom hover over? She's only around to prevent your phone calls from the home phone," he slid his cellphone out of his pocket and flipped it open, "if you need to call her, call her from my phone. If you need a ride to one of your dates, I can drive you, we'll pass it off as some brotherly bonding or something. I'm on your side, Brandon. We're going to Romeo and Juliet this shit."

"Romeo and Juliet commit suicide in the end," I whispered.

He furrowed his eyebrows at me and punched my shoulder, "shut up, you have a D in English." He placed the phone in my hand, "now call her, she's probably worried about you."

I shakily dialed Abby's number, and I had to go through the process of explaining to her dad who I was again. He quickly passed the phone off to her.

"Brandon, are you okay?" Was the first thing Abby said.

I sighed, her voice was the most comforting thing in the world at that moment,  "I am now."

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry for leaving you so quickly."

"No, it was probably the best thing to do, my mom's pretty mad."

"Oh."

"She said I'm not allowed to see you again."

"Brandon..."

"It's okay though, we're going to make this work."

"Oh thank God, I don't know what I'd do if we had to break up and never speak again."

"Me too."

"You're okay then?"

"Yes."

"I'll see you tomorrow my lil' flower."

"See you tomorrow, angel."

We hung up.

"You call her 'angel'?" Shane sneered as I handed his phone back.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"And what does she call you?"

I blushed, "'lil' flower'."

Shane burst out laughing and laughed for about five minutes, which doesn't sound like a very long time, but when you're just sitting there watching someone laugh, it is.

"That's such a fitting name!" He wheezed. He cleared his throat. "Now, to the rules of keeping a secret girlfriend." He stood up and began pacing back and forth in front of me. "For a couple weeks, you must act completely miserable around mom and dad, as if they really did destroy your relationship. Then when you go out with her, you say you're going to a friend's house- and NEVER. EVER. mention her."

I nodded, "okay."

"If you mess up, everything is going to crash and burn, and you'll never get to leave the house again."
