Something wiggled under my arm. Opening one eye, I see Bri trying to get out of bed. I trickle her.

"Maaammmaaa," she says, laughing.

"Good morning, monkey."

"Good morning, Mama."

"Hungry?" She nods. "Let us freshen up, and then we will go for breakfast."

She quickly gets down before I tickle her again and rushes to the bathroom. Getting up from bed, I stretch my arms over my head while taking in my room. The room is gigantic with walls painted in soft tones of beige and gold, with hits of blue giving the entire room a soft, mellow and serene look. There is a private balcony and a small sitting area in one corner of the room near a large window. Ian had assigned every one of us our rooms, except for Bri, since it is a new place, she and I are sharing a room, and later, when she gets comfortable, she can have a room for herself.

Yesterday we reached Ian's pack after sunset, so we couldn't see much. Hopefully, today we can explore the area. Opening our bags, I remove a white tee shirt, blue denim jumper shorts for Bri, and a shirt and black jeans for me. I go to the bathroom to help Bri with showering.

"Do you want to go to Claire's room?" I ask her as I finish lacing her shoes. She has been jumping from one foot to another, bubbling with excitement to explore the new place. She nods and runs towards the door.

"Careful, Bri," I run after her. She knocks on Claire's door, which is right next to us. Claire opens the door dressed in a white tee and blue denim jumper shorts.

"We are twinning!" Bri yells, throwing her hands in the air, and making Claire laugh.

"Will you look after her while I get ready?"

"Of course. I was about to go downstairs to the kitchen."

"Okay, I'll meet you there then. And please keep an eye on her, she is super active today," I look at Bri, who is now exploring Claire's room. Making sure they both were okay, I walked back to my room.

The bathroom was almost the size of my room back at home with a huge bathtub, a walk-in shower, small cupboards stocked with fresh towels and other essentials, and a countertop spanning the entire length of one wall with an equally big mirror. I longed to take a bath, but that had to wait, so I settled for a quick shower. I quickly got dressed and am about to rush out the door when I find myself wandering towards the balcony. Holding onto the railing, I lean forward slightly. Ian had given us rooms on the top floor, so the view from here is breathtaking. The trees surrounding us are as tall as the building. Beautiful flowers, small trees and shrubs were perfectly planted around the backyard and the winding paths. I watch strangers in the garden enjoying the morning sun, while some wander through the woods. Three men started stripping their clothes before shifting. I tried to look away, I did, but the process of shifting has always fascinated me. I have seen a handful of werewolves shift, mainly women and some children in the Amazonian pack, and the beauty of it always leaves me awestruck.

With a peaceful smile, I walk out of the room, closing the door behind me. I make my way towards the stairs. I stop midway when I see Ian climbing the stairs, taking three at a time, his eyes already on me. He is dressed in sleek black trouser pants and a white shirt, which moulded well on his muscular body. His hair is pulled back in a man bun. The clean business look did nothing to hide his tall, broad and warrior build. It just emphasised his appeal. Every part of him is enticing. He stops two stairs below mine and still manages to tower over me, albeit slightly.

"Good morning."

"Good morning, love." His lips quirk up slightly. He touches the long strand of my hair, which I had decided to let down. "I was coming to get you for breakfast. Did you sleep well?"
