Lies I once believed

When I was a child I was told of dreams,

That no matter how out of reach they my seem it was always a way,

Then when I became a teen I was told of the rules,

What was accepted and what was conceder against the law,

I was told that I was and will always be a nigger in others eyes,

Then I saw for myself that right was wrong sometimes,

That even when you try you could still be knocked down,

And as I grew into what must call adult hood,

I saw that family wasn't family anymore once your on your own,

That the evil never falls and always have money,

But the good barely makes it and even then its just enough to stay above water,

I fount out that dreams are meant to be broken and replaced with everyday things,

Like jobs and house hold responsibility,

That food is a luxury that mean of us don't have but have to work to get it,

That even water has a coast and lights, gas and ect.

I realized that what I was told as a child was meant to be a story,

And that life is like a school for hard knot's and broken hearts,

That no one lives for ever but all the good die off first,

To trust is like a gamble; you can lose or win,

And to love is to live,

You must love in this world to survive,

Because with out love what is your reason to live?

So you see the lies and you no the truth,

Make your own way and live,

Not just for today but for the rest of your life,
