Today's date is June 26.
Day 34 of summer.
47 days left to go.
"Augh, I love this vacation, and I never want to leave! There's everything! I just need wifi, though." I just spurted out.
"Same. I have the sun, the sand, the surf, there's everything.. I don't need wifi to be satisfied, although, I would like to talk to my friends back in Aussie country." Said Connor.
It was already day three, and right now, we were sitting in the sand, looking out onto the little water cove in Haiti.
Isn't this great?
"Hey guys, Georgia, Eddie, Rose, Micah, and I are gonna go out to the water, would you like to come?" Said Poppy.
Poppy was a girl who lived in England, and she was nice and all, but I couldn't help but feel sort of strange about her.
Like we had some sort of connection, somehow, but I'm not sure how, or what is was.
Poppy was nice.
Too nice.
She seemed sort of artificial, really.
Like she knows me, but I don't know her, you know?
It's quite odd because I haven't told her silly things about me, but she knows them.
Everybody asks each other questions to find out little facts about each other and whenever the questions were directed towards myself, she would always fill in the blanks, interrupting me, and always getting the answer right.
Strange, no?
Whatever, I'm just paranoid.
Or am I not?
Stop second guessing yourself Amber.
Stop talking to yourself, Amber.
I'm not talking to myself!!
Oh wait.
Whatever.
Shaking it off, Georgia, Eddie, Rose, Micah, Poppy, Connor, and I headed for the cove's mouth to dive into the sweet, rich, azure water.
We went to the far, back side of the water, where less people were, so we could roam freely and explore the underwater world with our snorkeling gear and go pros.
It was just us, a couple of teens in the water, from a myriad of places around the world who had unexpectedly met, bonding over the gist of summer fun and freedom.
We splashed at each other, swam, zip lined, rode on a roller coaster, and eventually, it was time to head back to the ship.
Our summer international squad had tons of fun, and I would never trade them for the world.
Yeah, even for wifi.
Being stuck on a giant ship with new friends that you've made and hanging out with them 24/7 really makes you guys close, and there's nothing like an international squad.
We were walking on the pier leading back to the ship watching the Haitian island natives say goodbye to us, and then scanned our key cards and boarded.
In that moment, I felt a feeling of emptiness, like I had lost something, or someone very important to me, and I felt uneasy.
I started worrying, and the first person I thought of was Stefan.
