Takes place in their 5th year. Fluff.

-

During their 5th year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy were still at odds with each other, as they had been since their first year. The two seemed to constantly butt heads, whether it was in their classes or on the Quidditch field. Their rivalry had become legendary within the walls of Hogwarts and their animosity towards each other was known by everyone.

However, a new rule set by Dumbledore changed everything. The wise headmaster had decided that it was time to put an end to the rivalries between houses, as it was starting to affect the unity within the school. This rule meant that Harry and Draco were forced to put aside their differences and find a way to coexist peacefully.

Dumbledore sat in his office, troubled by the constant bickering and animosity between Draco and Harry. As the headmaster of Hogwarts, he had always strived to maintain peace and harmony, but their long-standing rivalry seemed to be getting out of hand. It was now against his rules to have such intense animosity among students, and Dumbledore knew he needed to take action.

He summoned both Harry and Draco to his office, hoping to have a civil discussion with them. The two boys entered, scowling at each other, but immediately straightened as they saw Dumbledore's stern expression.

'Boys, I have called you here to discuss a matter of utmost importance,' said Dumbledore in his calm yet authoritative voice. 'Your rivalry has gone on for far too long and has caused too much trouble within the school. I believe it's time for a truce.'

Both boys looked at the headmaster in disbelief. A truce? With their sworn enemy? It seemed impossible, but Dumbledore's words had a certain weight to them.

"Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Potter, I understand that the feud between your families has been going on for generations. However, it is now time to put an end to it. I am aware that both of you are exceptional students, and I believe you can put your differences aside and work together," Dumbledore explained.

Harry and Draco exchanged uneasy glances but remained silent. It was clear that they both held a deep-rooted hatred for each other, but Dumbledore's words made sense. They couldn't deny the fact that their rivalry had caused chaos and damage.

Dumbledore continued, "I cannot force you to become friends, but I expect you to respect each other and cooperate. From now on, I do not want to see any more disagreements or fights between you two."

Both boys nodded in understanding. It wasn't an easy task, but they knew the consequences of not following Headmaster Dumbledore's orders.

"Good. Now, shake hands and promise to put an end to this senseless rivalry," commanded Dumbledore.

With a sigh, Harry and Draco reluctantly shook hands, pledging to put an end to their feud. As they left Dumbledore's office, they both knew that things wouldn't be easy, but for the sake of followings the rules, they had to attempt this action.

Days turned into weeks, and much to everyone's surprise, Harry and Draco's relationship slowly started to change. They were still not friends, but they no longer threw insults or hexes at each other. In fact, they found that they had a lot in common and began to work together in class.

As the school year went on, Harry and Draco spent more time together, outside of their usual bickering. They found that they had a lot of fun together and even enjoyed each other's company. And before they knew it, they found themselves developing feelings for each other. Surprisingly, romantic ones.

At the end of the year, as the students were boarding the Hogwarts Express to go home, Harry found the courage to confess his feelings to Draco. He quickly poured out his heart, before quickly making a run for the train. Draco was left standing there in shock, with a small smile on his face. He murmured to himself that he felt the same way, but it was too late, Harry was already gone.

As the train pulled away from the station, both Harry and Draco couldn't stop thinking about each other. They knew deep down that their rivalry had turned into something much more, and that their feelings were real. It was something that they never expected, but they were willing to explore this newfound love.

From that day on, Harry and Draco's relationship was no longer that of enemies, but of lovers. And it all started with Dumbledore's rule to end rivalries between houses. Who would have thought that love could blossom from something so unexpected?
