Author's Note: This is my first story so enjoy!
EDIT: It's been like a year since I published this, so I'm going through and making some fine detail edits. Grammatical changes, small details I think might be necessary for better character descriptions, etc. So re-reading is definitely worth it, and if you haven't read it yet it's going to be even better than before, so enjoy!

Alexa walked cautiously into the room. Stealthily peering in the door, she watched her parents. They were fighting. They threw things. They yelled. Her mother started crying. In the end, her father left the room, leaving her mother to drown in her own tears. Alexa was young, about 6, and didn't understand what happened. All she knows is that her father never came home and she attended her mother's funeral. Alexa was asked strange questions by the note paper men, newspaper reporters whom she didn't understand, and she saw herself on TV once. The note paper men only asked her about her parents. They never asked about her drawings of her imaginary pet cat Mr.Cuddles, or how she made a B on her math test, and made Alexa feel sad. Alexa's grandmother pushed the note paper men away and shoved her in the car one day, she had had enough of these interviews. They drove far away and never came back.

It had been years since then. Alexa lived with her grandmother in a farmhouse in the country. It was quiet, and there were no note paper men or video men or TV women. Just the solitude of her countryside home. Alexa was about 16 now. She understood why the note paper men asked her those questions. They wanted evidence. Someone to tell them the story of how her mother died... someone to tell them why her mother shot herself...
