The tensions rose as they snuck through the bushes surrounding the junk yard. The infinitly high tower loomed before them, metallic grey walls stretching high above the clouds. Gaurds lined the entrance and could be seen pacing through the halls through the windows. Just down the hill, the junk yard was being completely ignored.
"Theres no one down there! Let's go!" Brent exclaimed, running around the perimeter and looking for an entrance.
"Wait! Stop!" Jay called.
"We can't just go out there! We need a plan!" Marisol shouted.
Brent sneaked carefully around the walls and crept into the yard. Everyone else had no choice but to follow. Inside, broken mirrors dotted the area. The entire yard was filled with broken glass and cracked frames. Mountainous piles of twisted metal and other parts filled the area. They walked in slowly, looking around for what they needed.
"Over there!" Alexa shouted.
Across the way, a complete mirror was propped against the back wall. It had turned a grey-ish color, symbolizing that its counterpart was already deactivated. The group rushed over, but they were suddenly stopped by a shower of bullets right in front of them. Out came dozens of soldiers, armed and ready to take them down. Alexa felt horrible, but then it only got worse. Stepping forward, none other than Rimmion and Acela smiled evily at them.
"Y-you?! But how?!" Daven shouted.
"Don't you get it? Humans and reflections are linked. We've been tracking you the entire time." Acela replied smugly, "Through the woods...that nice cabin..blowing that mine was so fun to watch!"
"And you just went along with what she said?!" Alexa shouted towards Rimmion.
"She supplied an ample amount of reasons as to why that pesky little human broke her mirror. It was quite convincing. Besides, even if you didn't do it you four that aren't guilty of any other crime can still be taken down under the charges of helping other criminals." Rimmion answered.
"You can't do this to us!" Candance yelled.
"Oh, can't we? Rimmion here told me everything. Candance, is it? You are a well-known robber, stealing from all sorts of stores across the country. You two, Grimm and Brent, attempted to steal the most valuable things in this world from that very tower! And you.." Acela said, pausing and smiling at Jay.
"Wait..no..please don't tell them! They don't need to know!" Candance shouted.
"Tell us what?" Alexa asked.
Acela laughed and pointed at Jay, "This boy is a murderer!"
Everyone gasped. A murderer? Alexa thought, what is she talking about? She glanced over to Jay, expecting him to yell at her and defend himself against her lies, but he had a blank expression as if he could care less.
"Is..is it true?" Marisol asked.
"Of course it is. He killed his own reflection! And several red-suits too!" Acela answered, "Isn't that right?"
The group looked towards him in shock.
Several seconds went by until he finally spoke up, "So..maybe I did..they deserved it. That bastard lead me to believe he was my friend..then he tried to smash the mirror so I couldn't get back and...I was an orphan, he was all I had and he..I don't regret a damn thing."
"Jay?! Why didn't you tell us?!" Alexa shouted.
Daven put his hand in front of her in a defensive manor and everyone backed away slowly..
