Chapter 16

ROXXANNE'S POV

I don't know what time it is when I wake up. The bed however isn't my own. I look around and there is Loki staring at me. "Hey." I say just to break the silence. He smiles slightly, "Hello Lady Roxxanne. How- Um. How are you feeling?" I shrug. His eyes scan over me obviously concerned. "Do you remember anything?" I look at him again. " I remember you kidnapping me, taking me to some frozen planet to keep me away from Thor, and fainting. But after that not much." Loki is staring at me with a slight fear in his eyes and I speak again before he can. " I'm not mad at you either if that's what you think." After I said that I saw him relax and the fear leave his eyes and he smiled again and it disappeared as soon as it came. "I suppose I should let the others know that you have awaken now." He looks up at the ceiling. "Jarvis if you will?" I laugh and Loki looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Oh I'm sorry but Tony and I love it when people look up at the ceiling when they talk to Jarvis, as if he is actually up there." Loki doesn't even get the chance to smile before The Avengers come into the room.

Steve is actually the first to reach me and feel my face asking questions. "Gosh Little Spider are you okay?" He ask as he touches my face again. "Yes, Mum" I say batting his hands playfully away from my face. I look over to see Thor glaring hard at Loki who in turn is glaring right back while Tony, Clint, and Bruce just hang back. Tony sends a thumbs up my way and I nod conformation that I am fine. I look again at Thor and Loki. "I uh I could use a kiss though." I say trying to break the tension but that  did nothing as Loki is the one to respond. " Oh I would be happy to oblige but I don't think Thor would appreciate it, My Love." He says looking at me with a sly smile. Thor turns Loki towards him. "You are only taking an interest in her because she is mine. You are always jealous of my things." Loki cut his eyes at Thor. "The only reason my eyes are green is because I eat a lot of vegetables and you'll do well to remember that." Thor only smirked. "But what color are your eyes really Loki? Does she know what color they are Laufeyson? " Loki's eyes widened and since I did know what color they really were and why he hated talking about it so I drew the line myself. "Hey!" I said standing up and moving in between the two of them and glaring at Thor. "Why the hell would you say that to him? I know you know he hates that!" Thor looked shocked at me. "Well why do you even care?" I didn't think I just reached out and slapped Thor. "That is your brother! If I make you forget that then I don't want to be with you or you! I say to Thor then immediately to Loki. I stomp out of the room only stopping to return snatch Clint and leave again.

We actually only went down the hall to my room where I slammed the door and fell onto the bed and began crying. "Awe no Roxxie, hey come on Roxx please don't cry, you know I can't with this. When you cry it actually hurts me." The bed dipped and Clint pulled me into his arms shushing me and patting my hair. "I can't believe it! You slapped Thor! I'm surprised you didn't whack Loki too." Clint said laughing. I knew he was only trying to lighten the mood but it wasn't working and I only cried more. "Oh shit. God Roxxanne I'm sorry, I know I'm bad at this. What do you want me to do?" I looked up at him and put my hand over his mouth and snuggled back into him and cried. He chuckled and moved my hand down. "That I can do." He said before he went back to stroking my hair silently this time.
