The shattered ruins of Nyx's temple smoldered behind them, swallowed slowly by collapsing shadows. The Godsworn moved in silence across the blackened plateau of the Underworld, the air thick with lingering dread — and strange hope.
They had done it. Nyx, the primordial goddess of night, had fallen.
Selene leaned against a broken pillar, catching her reflection in a shard of obsidian. "Ugh. My makeup's ruined," she muttered with a pout.
"You're in a battle, not a beauty pageant," Alexander said dryly, flicking ash from his shoulder.
Selene arched a brow, smirking. "And yet, I still looked better than you while punching Nyx in the face."
"Alright, lovebirds, save the flirting," Thalor grumbled, slinging his Sea Trident over his shoulder. "Let's rest before the next ancient god drops in for a surprise attack."
"Agreed," Alexander muttered, a faint blush rising to his cheeks as he wiped soot and dried blood from his jaw. Clearing his throat, he changed the subject. "Let's find a quiet spot. Luna... I think it's time we talked."
Luna blinked, surprised. Her silver eyes flicked between them. "About... how I ended up here?"
Aeris offered her a gentle smile. "We've all been wondering. You don't exactly scream 'Underworld native.'"
"I'm not," Luna admitted quietly. "Not originally."
They found a ledge on a jagged ridge, overlooking a ghostlit valley that shimmered with faint wisps of pale flame. Selene conjured a soft pink barrier for warmth and safety, while Darian lit a flickering golden flame from his palm to illuminate the space.

"Alright," Alexander said, settling down. "Tell us everything. From the beginning."
Luna wrapped her arms around her knees and took a deep breath.
"I was guarding the Moon Shrine in Aetherion. It was peaceful... until a portal opened beneath the altar. I thought it was a message from Artemis. But it wasn't. The pull was too strong. I fell through."
"You were dragged into the Underworld?" Aeris asked.
Luna nodded. "Yes. Disoriented, alone... and then she came."
"Nyx," Darian said grimly.
"She recognized me instantly. Said, 'Without the moon, there is no night.' She envied me... and feared the light I carried. So she bound me. Drained me. My power, my mind, my memories."
"That's why she was so strong," Aeris whispered. "She was using your magic."
Luna's voice trembled. "Yes. That's why I didn't remember who I was when you found me. But when Darian freed me... something returned. Not all of it. But enough."
