Chapter Seven - Brother and Sister Bonding Time

~September 28th~

I was snuggled into my warm comfortable bed when I heard a chorus of voices sing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Joey. Happy birthday to you."
I turn and see Johnny, Steve-O, Novak, Ryan, Chris, Ape, Phil, and Bam standing there all smiling at me. Johnny standing in front of them.
"Happy birthday!" they exclaim and I laugh.
I sit up and Steve-O yells, "I call dibs on hugging her first!"
"No! She's MY sister!" Bam exclaims
"She's MY girlfriend!" Johnny says and all three of them jump up on my bed and try to get me first.
Johnny grabs me and holds onto me and says, "Haha!"
I laugh and then we start to fall backwards off the side of the bed. We fall, Johnny on top of me, and we all were dying of laughter.
"This is the second time, Joe. If you wanted me on top of you, you could've just asked." Johnny says and I laugh and playfully push him off.
I get up and Steve-O gives me a hug,
"Happy birthday Pebbles." he says
I get hugs and kisses (on the cheek) from everybody.
"Happy birthday my beautiful shooting Starr." Johnny says hugging me and then kissing me.
"Thank you." I say
Bam comes up to me and says while enveloping me in his arms, "Happy birthday Pebbles."
"Happy birthday Bam Bam." I say
We hug for awhile and then he says, "Wanna spend our birthday together? Just you and me?"
"Where are we going?" I ask
"I don't know yet. Somewhere." he says
'I can use this to keep him out of the house.' I thought
"Sure." I say to Bam, "I'd love to spend it with my twin."
"Awesome." he says, "Be ready in 30 minutes."
He leaves and I jump in the shower and I put on some skinny jeans, my t-shirt that had a picture of a puppy wearing a flat billed hat and the caption was 'What's Up, Dog?' put on my black sneakers and grabbed my white beanie.
I grabbed my phone and wallet and walk downstairs.
I slide down the railing and somebody catches me at the bottom. And judging by the way it felt like my skin was on fire where he touched me I guessed it was Johnny.
We smile at each other and he leans in and whispers in my ear,
"Don't worry about a thing. We got the setting up under control. Just keep Bam out of the house until I text you." he says
I nod, "Thank you." I say
He kisses me and sets my feet back down on the ground and grabs my hand and leads me towards the kitchen, "I figured we could have a little breakfast before you left." he says
"What's on the menu?" I ask
He reaches up into the cupboard and pulls down a package of Oreos and I laugh.
"Cookies and milk. Part of a nutritious breakfast." Johnny jokes as he pours some milk into some glasses.
He sits on the stool next to me and I open the package and we eat Oreos.
"So, it's your birthday." Johnny says wrapping an arm around my waist
"Yep." I say with a sigh
"Are you ready to be spoiled?" he asks
"No." I say and I look at him, "Please tell me you didn't buy me something really expensive for my birthday."
"Okay." he says, "I won't."
He takes a drink of his milk and I roll my eyes, "Hey, you said nothing big. And it's not." he says
I shake my head and he says, "Well, it's not the biggest gift."
I look at him and he laughs and says, "I'm kidding."
I playfully push him and he says, "Hey, your birth is something worth celebrating. Embrace it. Have fun!"
I giggle and Bam walks into the room and says, "Hey, you ready to go?"
"Mhm." I say because I had a mouthful of Oreo and I wash it down with my milk.
I put my cup in the sink, I give Johnny a quick kiss and Bam and I leave.
"So, my evil twin of mine, where are we going?" I ask
"Hmm. How about the animal shelter for a little while?" he suggests
I give him a look but I don't think he caught it because he kept his attention on the road. He knew it broke my heart every time we were driving by the animal shelter let alone inside.
"What? MTV wants me to see if I can get them to sponsor me." Bam says
"Alright." I say with a sigh.
"And after that I promise we'll do something more fun." he says
We go to the animal shelter and we go inside, "Bam freaking Margera." says a male voice when we walk in.
"Hey." Bam says shaking his hand, "And this is my-"
"Twin sister Joey Margera. You know you're more beautiful than you are in the tabloids." he says
"Take it easy, she's taken." Bam jokes
The male, who was about mine and Bam's age and had an 'Element' baseball cap., wore a green 'Earth' shirt, jeans, and sneakers.
"Joey, this is one of my friends, Tim Glomb." Bam says and Tim and I shake hands.
"Pleasure." I say politely
The owner of the place comes up to us all and they were about to go in his office to discuss boring things when the owner, Jeff, tells me,
"You can go look at the animals if you want. The dogs are in the play room down the hall an the cats are a few doors down from that in a playroom."
"Thank you." I say and they leave.
I decide to go look at the cats first. I walked in and they were all frolicking around and meowing.
One white and golden kitten came up to me and pawed at my leg playfully and looked up and meowed at me. I knelt down and scratched the top of his head.
Soon a bunch of little kittens came over to play and to be pet.
They were cute, and I particularly liked the first kitten that approached me.
But I decided to go look at the dogs before I decided to adopt a kitten.
I walked in the 'Puppy Playroom' and the puppies were all playing.
A little German Shepard puppy came up to me and I sat down and he jumped up and started licking my face.
I scratched him behind the ear and he kept giving me love bites on my wrist and my other hand.
Eventually he rolled onto his back and I scratched his stomach and he kept wiggling around.
I laughed and then the door opens and Bam, Jeff, and Glomb walk in.
Bam sits next to me and says, "Who's this little guy?"
"We haven't given him an official name yet. But he's potty trained and everything, he a sweet little fella." Jeff says
"Do you like him?" Bam asks me
"I like them all but...if I had the money I'd adopt him." I say
Bam takes his phone out and snaps a picture of him and says, "For future reference."
I roll my eyes and continue to pet the puppy.
