Chapter Seventeen - Another Goodbye

Johnny and I spent the rest of the night dancing, it was a magical and wonderful night, neither of us wanted it to end.
But the next day kind of hung over us like a cloud.
Tomorrow I have to start getting ready to leave again. I have some appearances before the next show.
At about three in the morning, we decide to head home.
When we got back in the limo was when I truly noticed how tired I was.
I snuggled into Johnny's side and rested my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around my shoulders and laces his free hand with my left hand.
"I love you Johnny." I say quietly after I yawn.
"I love you too my SuperStarr." he says kissing my hair.

Next Day

I woke up to a silent house at 1:30 in the afternoon.
I don't remember getting home. But I was dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt so apparently something went right last night.
I stretched and something glistens in the sunlight pouring through the windows and I look and see the ring that Johnny gave me last night and a smile spreads on my face.
My phone chimes softly on the bedside table and I pick it up and see that it's a text from Luke.

Luke: hey Joey. My jet will be at the airport waiting for you at 6. It'll bring you to New York for our appearance on Good Morning America. See you soon.

I put my phone down and get up out of bed and go into the bathroom.
I take some Advil and jump in the shower to wake up and shake off this hangover.
When I was done I dried off and went into the room and saw that Johnny was still sleeping.
I put on my Twenty One Pilots 'Blurryface' t-shirt, jeans, and put on a snapback hat.
He was still sleeping so I went into the bathroom and got some medicine and water for him when he wakes up and set it on the bedside table.
I went downstairs and everybody was sleeping. I figured they were home considering everyone's bags and stuff was all in a pile on the floor by the couch.
I rolled my eyes and head into the kitchen and start making breakfast for everyone. Like old times.
I made waffles, hash browns, and sausage gravy and nobody was up yet. So now it was time to be a little evil.
I go up to Novak's door first and pound on the door.
"Come on you lazy asses, foods done!" I call loudly as I pound on everybody else's door and I'm pretty sure someone threw something at the door of Bam's room.
I got to my door and walk in to see Johnny is still asleep.
"Babe, come on get up." I say jumping up on the bed and standing with my legs on either side of him.
He groans and says, "Why are you so evil?"
"Ha. That's not what you were saying last night at the party." I say as he rolls onto his back and puts his hands on my calves and rubs them with a sleepy smile.
"I got you some Advil to help with the headache. And I made breakfast for everyone." I say
"You've just been a busy bee this morning." he says jokingly.
I smile and say, "Let's go. Up and at em!"
I start to walk away but he stops me and says, "Who says you're going anywhere?" he asks
I giggle and try to stop him from bringing me down on the bed but I fail and fall into his arms, both of us laughing.
He wraps his arms around me and holds me close to his body and our noses and foreheads touch.
"I love you Joey." he says quietly enough for me to hear.
"I love you more." he smiles and leans in to kiss me but I pull away.
"Later. Come on. Get up." I say and pry myself from him.
"Come on," he whines and it makes me giggle as I get up from the bed and leave.
When I go back in the kitchen people were just starting to gather around the table and I brought out the food and that's when they seemed to be moving faster.
I walk over to Johnny and he pulls me down onto his lap and I let out a giggle.
After about 15 minutes, some people were starting to talk more and more.
As everybody say around the table, I felt guilty about leaving. But its only be for a few more months and I'd be back for awhile.
After breakfast, Missy and Bam volunteered to do the dishes and that gave Johnny and I more time together.
We decided on just hang out down in the basement.
He leads me over to one of the couches and pulls me onto his lap and holds me tight.
"Now where were we?" he asks and I giggle as he leans in and we kiss.
I wrap my arms around his neck and run my fingers through his hair and he rubs my side.
He moves from my lips to my jawline and then to my neck.
I wondered, not for the first time, what will happen in the future for us.
A lot has changed from when I came back to West Chester all those months ago. I came here refusing to allow myself to love another guy. I have a shot at the career I've always wanted.
He pulls away after a minute and looks at me and asks quietly, "What are you thinking about?"
I look into his brown eyes and my heart was filled with so much joy and love, and I was loving the feeling of his hands on my body that rose goosebumps on my arms from his touch that I was beginning to think there was no way this could end or go wrong.
I smile at him and say quietly, "Just that I love you more than anything in this world."
He smiles too and says, "That's ironic because I was thinking the same exact thing."
I giggle and lean in and kiss him again.
When we pull away I rest my head on his shoulder and nuzzle his neck and he laces his right hand with my left and draws designs on my back with his free hand.
As I sat there and I suddenly had something to say, "Thank you."
"For what?" He asks
"For being there for me." I say, "For being by my side."
He chuckles and says, "Where else am I going to go?"
I smile and he lays down so he was on his back and I was on top of him and he says, "And just like I've said, I'll always be by your side. I love you Josephine Starr. I love you more than anything."
"I love you too." I say

Johnny and I fell asleep like that and slept for a few hours when Bam shook us awake.
We went upstairs and he helped me pack up my stuff.
After I zipped it up again, He grabbed it and my hand, after I put my sneakers on, and we went downstairs together.
Ryan was the first one to envelope me in a hug, "Go kick some ass." he says hugging me tight and I laugh.
Chris was next to give me a hug, then it was Novak, and then mom, dad, and then Bam who gave me an extra long hug.
"Have fun and party hard." he says quietly to me and I smile and hug him tight.
"I love you Bam Bam." I say
"I love you too Pebbles." he says pulling away and taking my hat off and ruffles my hair.
We all walk outside to the waiting car and Johnny opens my door and I get in and he gets in the driver seat and as he drives away I watch as my family begins to get farther and farther away.

Luckily, this goodbye wasn't as hard as the last one.
When my flight was called, Johnny walked me to the gate and then at the last minute, turns me and kisses me again.
We pull away and he says, "I'll see you soon. I love you."
"I love you too Johnny." I say and I take my bag from his hand and my hand slips from his and I get on the plane, headed to New York.
