Izuku's Pov:

It's almost midnight. The night is silent. But a silent night is never a peaceful one. I already had to stop a couple muggings here and there. "Rava," I called, she appeared through my shadow and landed on my shoulder. "Scout out the area, call upon any ravens in the area, and try to get intel. Report any suspicious activity." I commanded her.

"With pleasure." She flew off. While she scouts, I kept on the move, checking for anything and everything. You can never be too vigilant. I learnt that the hard way.

Today marks my first solo mission, my final test before the UA entrance exams. It's been four years since that day. Four years since I met Aizawa, Choyo and Nezu. Four years since my life has turned for the better. My life has changed drastically since that day, it was a pretty confusing couple of years for me, it took quite a while to adjust and get used to my new life, to the fact that I'm no longer alone.

"Izuku, one of my ravens found something." Rava spoke telepathically. "Report your findings."  I replied back telepathically.

In my first year of learning on how to use my new profound powers, I discovered that I could speak telepathically to all my shadow companions. Additionally, I can always sense where they are and if they're ever in danger or in need of assistance, and the opposite applies.

"A bank robbery, the guy is on the run, he's 20 blocks ahead of you." Rava replied. "Well done. I'm on my way and keep me updated on his location." I answered back. "Already on it, I got visuals of him, 15 blocks ahead now and he's sticking to the alleys." With her affirmation, I picked up my speed, jumping from rooftop to rooftop without making a sound.

"He's right ahead of you." I had visuals on him know. "I've got eyes on him now. Thanks, you can pull back now." Rava vanished back into the shadows. "Nathara, be ready for my call."

"Already on it."  She replied. I smirked to myself and kept after him, silent as the night. He darted to the left and slipped into a narrow alleyway, glancing over his shoulder to see if anyone was on his tail. Once he saw no one, he let out a relieved sigh.

"Oh, you poor soul," I said, my voice echoing down from above. "Did you really think you could escape that easily?" I stood perched on the edge of the rooftop watching him freeze below me. Color drained from his face. Can't blame him. From his perspective, I probably look like the grim reaper.

He tried to escape but found himself incapable of moving. I trapped him using his own shadow. He aimed his arms towards me, a desperate move.

"Uh uh," I called down, taunting, "I wouldn't try if I were you. My slithery friend down there doesn't take kindly to anyone with the incentive to hurt me." His gaze dropped down slowly, only to widen in horror. Nathara rising from his shadow, coiling her way up his legs slowly, inching her way up towards his shoulders.

He's going pale. Looks like he's about to pass out.

"P-P-Please spare me!" He choked out. "I'm so-sorry, please. I have a family to return to." I dropped down, landing softly, and walked towards him with measured steps. "Please, I'll return the money! I'm sorry." he pleaded, tears streaming down his face.

"Nathara release him." She withdrew from him and slithered silently to my side. Tears remained pouring out of his eyes. "If you're sorry, then why did you steal in the first place."

He swallowed hard. "I-I-I- nee-needed the money." He stuttered. "My wife and daughter...  they're sick. I-I don't have the money to pay for their medicine, and rent is due soon. I didn't know what else to do."
