13. Complicated

“Aludy wake up, we are here” boses ni Robert ang nagpadilat sa aking mga mata. Hindi ko namalayan na nakaidlip pala ako. Inilibot ko ang aking paningin sa hindi pamilyar na lugar. Napakunot ang aking noo dahil hindi ko alam kung nasan kami. My mouth dropped open when I saw the mansion infront of me. Hindi ito katulad ng mansion ni grandmamma na modern style. Mas malaki din  ito hamak. I loved the Stone Victorian exterior inspired design with excellent color combination. They are a contrast of light stone and black accent. and secretly my little girl's heart loves this castle. I smiled of the thought.

“Something is amusing you?” he asked looking at me.

“the castle” I murmured. “it’s beyond beautiful. Alam mo nung bata pa ako pangarap ko maging princess at tumira sa castle, ngayon here I am, infront of a castle. It’s like a dream come true.” Sabi ko na parang nananaginip. When I glanced at him he look amuse then he look at me na parang hindi ako kapani-paniwala. Naningkit ang mata ko nang bigla na lamang siya tumawa. “bakit ka tumatawa? May nakakatawa ba sa sinabi ko?” I snapped at him.

“ikaw,.. ang babaw pala ng kaligayahan mo.” Nailing niyang sabi.

Inirapan ko siya sa inis. “eerrrr…. so what kung nabababawan ka?" Taas kilay kung sabi. “wala kang pakialam.” Inis kung wika na lalo niyang ikinatawa. “nasaan na ba kasi tayo?” tanong ko.

He sighed. “sa bahay ni lolo. You have to stay here until everything is clear and you are safe.”

I frowned not understanding every word he was saying. “what are you talking about?” I asked.

He clenched his teeth and I can see anger written on his face. “Someone out there wants to harm you Aludy.”  His face softened when he looked at me.  “and I need to protect you from that. I can’t let anyone harm you”

He needs to protect me from harm. Hearing him said that ay para akong Christmas light na  nagliliwanag with twinkling twinkling effect.  He is playing my knight-in- shining-shimmering- armour. I grinned at him. “kaw ha, may ganyan ka na ngayon. Eehhh gusto mo lang yata akong itanan eh. Okay lng naman sa akin hindi mo naman ako dapat idaan sa ganito. Hindi tuloy ako prepared.” Birong-totoo kung sabi while smiling sweetly.

He looked amused then laughed. “my…my Aludy, hindi ko alam kung saan mo pinagkukuha iyang mga ideya mo.” He said shaking his head but smiling at the same time.

“tseee,.. bakit mo kasi ako dinala dito? Kung tungkol ito dun sa box na ipinadala sa office kalimutan mo na iyon. Wala iyon nanloloko lang iyon.” Sabi ko habang pinipilit kung itago ang takot ng muli kung naisip ang bagay na iyon. “isa pa, hahanapin na ako ni grandmamma kaya iuwi mo na ako.” pagpapatuloy ko. He closed his eyes and opened it again to looked at me. I could tell his worried about something.

“your grandamama is not in the mansion .” his voice low and soft. I frown and confused at the same time.

“where is she? Is there something I need to know Robert?” I asked worried about my grandmamma.

“she is okay don’t worry” he said looking at me. He holds my hand and I feel relaxed knowing my grandmamma is okay and that I am with Robert.

“what is wrong Robert?” I looked at him suspiciously but he didn’t answer me. “God damn it, tell me the truth what the hell is happening?” I can’t help not to raised my voice because I am nervous and desperate to know what’s going on.
