Chapter LXIII: Save The World

While the sun shone brightly on the war in Japan, Obito and Minato had only a desk lamp and the moonlight to see each other with. Minato thought, 'I can't seem to transport the President back here... that's not right. Basic teleportation shouldn't stop me from bringing him back... unless he was put somewhere like... another planet? No... more like a separate dimension of some kind...'

Minato questioned, "What are you trying to do with the President?!"

Obito raised his arms in a coy manner, "Oh relax, Number 2... I mean Number 1 Hero," He mumbled, "By technicality..." He cleared his throat, "I just want the Nuclear Launch codes from the dear President. You can have him back when I'm done."

Minato's eyes narrowed, and he gripped a kunai harder, "Over my dead body. What could AFO need nukes for?"

"Oh, come now, what rising superpower wouldn't have nukes? Your President planned to send some nukes to us soon anyway, I'm just pushing the delivery date ahead of time." Obito chuckled before Minato interrupted him by throwing a kunai through his head.

'It's just as Hawks said,' it phased through his head as if he were a hologram.

"Sorry, but you'd be too troublesome to fight, I'll be taking my leave now," Obito phased through the ground, but Minato made a rasengan and destroyed the floor.

"You're not going anywhere!"

The rubble interrupted Obito's attempted phase and he thought, 'Tsh... having to fight the Yellow Flash is a very undesirable outcome at the moment... But if it's unavoidable... then I'll do what I must.' He released chains and let them drop from his wrist, 'The President is already secure, so I just need to get him off my back.'

Minato landed in front of him and went straight for his throat, but it went through. Minato brainstormed, 'Attacks won't matter until he materializes on his own, but I can't make it too obvious that I'm gonna bait him.'

Minato backstepped and Obito dashed at him, reaching for his arm. He got within millimeters of it, although Minato threw a kunai through his head and teleported to it, attempting to stab through his neck, but Obito phased and yanked on the chains.

The chains wrapped around Minato and held his arms together while breaking his phone, but before Obito could capitalize on this, Minato teleported out of it. The deadly dance continued with both combatants fully aware that an instance of physical contact was all they'd need to end the fight. The fight moved from a hallway to one of the lounge rooms and after some more exchanges, they both stopped when they heard a door swing open next to Obito.

Minato's cool expression turned into widened eyes while a shiver ran down his spine. "Dad, I finally found you! I heard a bunch of fighting and came by to help, what's"—

—"Naruto!! Run!" Minato's voice cracked and Obito's eyes gleamed as he took advantage in an instant, motioning to grab Naruto who was in arm's reach.

“I win."

Minato made a Rasengan while throwing his last kunai at Obito's head, but Obito blocked it with his arm while his other hand was microseconds from touching Naruto. In a panic, Minato teleported to the seal he placed on Naruto and tried to slam the rasengan into Obito, but he anticipated this and moved his hand toward where Minato would attack in advance, finally touching him and warping him away in an instant along with Naruto.

Obito spotted another Naruto staring at him fearfully outside the door, and he thought, 'Hm? That's right, the Yellow Flash's son did have a clone quirk. But no matter...'

Obito relaxed and straightened up, slowly chuckling before erupting into full-on laughter. Naruto clenched his fist and yelled, "What did you do to my Dad, you bastard?!"
