Chapter L: Liberation War

The entirety of the Work Study lasted three months. It was the end of March and Spring was coming, and every hero vanished from the city. With Hawks info, the heroes are taking the initiative a month ahead of the Paranormal Liberation Front's plan to plunge Japan into anarchy.

Endeavor entered the hospital with dozens of heroes behind him and thought, 'I bolstered our numbers, just like you said. Here we go, Hawks.' His face burst into flames as he stomped toward Garaki who strolled through the hospital none the wiser. "So you're the one. The man behind the Nomu... and All For One's right hand! The Devil's minion, huh? You're finished!"

Garaki's face contorted into terror, and he ran, thinking, 'Damn it! I need to get Obito to come right now!'

In the mountains near the Paranormal Liberation Front's main base, Edgeshot, with hundreds of heroes, prepared the strike. He thought, 'Garaki, the Nomu, the Liberation Front. We're taking them all down at once... inside that building, all the leaders are having a meeting.' He looked back off into the distance, 'The UA kids are back there... we only need them for the initial stages... but I doubt things will go that smoothly. If that giant breaks loose, we'll be counting on you, Sasuke.'

Inside the building, Skeptic ran frantically while holding his computer, "Bubaigawara! You've done it now! Where is that fool?! This couldn't get worse! HEROES ARE COMING!"

The front of the building split in half due to Cementoss and Skeptic yelled, "The conference is canceled! Get word to the assembly hall! Violet and black regiments to the front gate! Brown, get out there too! Carmine, to the assembly hall!"

While Cementoss continued to split the building in half, Edgeshot yelled, "Don't let anyone escape! They're well-trained and ready to give their lives for the cause! If any of them get out they can keep terrorizing other places! In order to defend, we must attack!"

At another part of the building, Sasuke accompanied Hawks inside a room where he surrounded Twice with feathers. The room was dark and Twice was forced into an awkward position while Hawks held two feather swords. "Let's go over Liberation ideology. You didn't suspect a thing, right?"

Twice tried to stand, "Haw—

"—Please don't resist," a feather moved to an inch from his face, "I'm going to arrest you and hand you over to the authorities. That's how this works."

Sasuke stood in a corner of the room with a hand resting on his blade thinking, 'Twice could turn this war into a one-sided slaughter... it's not worth the risk bothering to sympathize with him, but whatever... if he gets past Hawks, I'm cutting him down in an instant.'

Further down through a tunnel, Tokoyami ran with Suneater and Fat Gum. "Should I do it?"

Fat Gum confirmed, "Go for it! Your job is to plug up this long tunnel with your full power!"

Tokoyami stood still and allowed Dark Shadow to increase in size in the darkness before unleashing it, "Dark Shadow, Ragnarok!"

At the end of the tunnel, Redestro met the beast with his own full power and grabbed onto it. Slowing it down, but Dark Shadow kept moving forward and made his feet dig divots into the concrete until his prosthetic legs snapped, sending him flying through another wall into the Assembly Hall.

Dark Shadow receded back to Tokoyami and informed him, "Tokoyami... down there there was a real nasty one."

"Yeah... the one that nearly stood up to our Ragnarok."

"No! Not that one! A real... monster!"

Back up in the room where Sasuke, Hawks, and Twice were. Twice tried to replicate himself dozens of times, but everytime Hawks would cut them down in an instant. Hawks stated, "The speed at which you replicate is astounding. But each successive double is less durable than the last." Twice's mask was cut and a tear fell from his one visible eye. Hawks continued, "After coming this far, I could never allow mere sentiment to trip me up. There's still a way forward if you come quietly now since I like you."
