Chapter XLVIII: Naruto vs Sasuke

They both ran at each other and met in the middle with Midoriya throwing a kick at 8%.

It was easily blocked and Midoriya's eyes widened in shock before Sakura grabbed him by the collar and threw him through a collapsed pillar laying on the ground.

Kirishima said, "Jeez, the last time I saw Midoriya get manhandled like that was against All Might."

Midoriya rubbed his head and dodged an incoming punch, thinking, '8% was nothing for her! I already gotta go to 20%.'

He punched her, and she blocked, but the grimace on her face told him enough. He went for another punch, but she side-stepped it and landed a blow to his chest.

It knocked the wind out of him, but he held onto her arm and slammed her over his shoulder on the ground, going for an axe kick that she rolled out of the way of.

While they went back and forth, Sasuke thought, 'She's going equal with 20% of One For All. If she's like Midoriya at all, she should grow stronger in the future too. Didn't think there were others out there with quirks that had that kind of strength.'

Mina asked, "Hey, Tsunade, how does her quirk work? I thought she was a healer."

"She is one. She can just also transmit that life energy into power."

Sasuke asked, "Does the diamond on your foreheads have anything to do with your quirks? Or is that just a birthmark?"

"It's both. It multiplies how much life energy we can utilize, but there is no reason to use it here. It's only for really serious situations."

Gaara stirred awake from his earlier knockout and Nezu caught him up to speed in his language.

Midoriya tried to land multiple hits on her, but she would block and return her own. He thought, 'This isn't getting anywhere... I think black whip can be used for actual combat now. Sasuke's been helping me a lot the past week, I should put it to use!'

While she jumped away, black tendrils suddenly shot out of his hand and wrapped around her.

Uraraka held her hands together, "Can he control those now?"

This caught Sakura off guard and he pulled her into a hard gut punch that made her spit up saliva.

He felt like he heard ribs cracking and retracted his tendrils, "Woah! Are you ok?! I didn't mean to—"

Sakura uppercut him almost up to the ceiling and stood up fine. Bakugo yelled, "What the hell are you doing, idiot?!"

Sakura said, "Thanks for the concern, but I can heal really quickly from anything you do, so don't hold back or underestimate me! Cha!" As he fell back down, she went for a haymaker that he barely put up his guard for.

He was sent flying through another pillar and caught his breath, 'Her strength is monstrous! It's as she says... I gotta try harder!' Green lightning arced around him and he got on all fours briefly, '25%!'

The speed boost helped him blitz her and sweep her feet from under her. She tried to swing at him, but he blew her away by flicking a finger at full power.

She yelled as she was sent through a pillar and Midoriya grinded his teeth feeling the pain of a broken finger that he didn't miss, but he powered through it and wrapped tendrils around pieces of rocks and chucked them at her.

She punched through them and got closer, but he used the combination of smoke and his tendrils to distract her and let him land a solid punch to her dome that knocked her out and sent her flying.

Mina cheered, "Good job, Midoriya!"

Tsunade called the fight, "Midoriya wins!"

She jogged over to Sakura who woke up within moments and shot back up. Tsunade put her hands on her shoulders, "Woah there, fights over. You did good, Sakura."
