Ending

The Plan

A loud beeping noise woke him up. Thomas turned it off, and tried to sleep again. He hadn't been going to school for almost two weeks, and he wasn't planning on going back anytime soon, but he always forgot about the stupid alarm.

Lately Thomas felt like he didn't have a single reason to even get up at all, and he'd rather sleep and hope he wouldn't wake up one day. Every drop of happiness he had was drained from his body and he felt exhausted all the time.

He managed to sleep for two more hours, but his mother woke him up by knocking on his bedroom door. When he didn't say anything, wanting to be left alone, the woman silently opened the door and peeked inside. At the sight of her son being awake and well, she seemed relieved.

"Tom, sweetie..." her voice was low and soothing "Your friend Mino is here to see you"

Thomas sighed and looked directly at her face.

"Getting really tired of this bullshit mom." at this sentence, the woman frowned. Thomas continued "It's 'Minho' for fucks sake, it's not even that hard to memorize after him coming over so many times, please get your shit right. You can tell him to come in"

"I-I'm sorry." She looked embarrassed but at the same time Thomas saw in her eyes that she disapproved of the way he had just treated her. Her head disappeared and he was able to hear her calling for his friend "You can come in now Minho, Thomas is awake."

And then Minho showed up in his room, with a smile so fake Thomas could already see the tears that came next.

"So... welcome to my house, I guess. My parents aren't here yet so we're home alone for a few hours" Thomas was a little nervous to be showing his house to his friend for the first time, especially since he was starting to think he was really cute and he didn't want to freak him out after being friends for so long.

"I can't believe in 2 years I never came here."

Thomas laughed.

"Whatever Min, being in your house is so much better anyway" as soon as he realized what he had just said, he tried to make it seem less awkward "uh I-I mean.." he started to blush "my parents are super boring and I don't have that many cool videogames"

Minho smiled and didn't even seem to notice the awkwardness. Or maybe he was too much of a good friend to make Thomas feel any worse and just ignored it.

"This is really cool though. I should come here more often"

"Dude, what are you even talking about. You've only seen like the kitchen and the living room. Plus, after spending a few hours studying in my room, you're going to hate this place."

"You're probably right. But at least I'll be with you" the boy smirked. Thomas could literally feel his face going red. "But now I really need to see the bathroom"

Thomas was positively confused for a moment at this statement; then he smiled "Uh, what do you mean? Do you have some kind of bathroom fetish or something? 'Cause that's really awkward and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that" he joked.

"Thomas, shut up, I need to pee. Now tell me how to go to the damn bathroom."

He laughed and pointed to the stairs. "Let's go up. The bathroom is the second door on the left. Meet me in my room when you're done, it's the last door on the hallway."

Minho started to go up first, and Thomas felt guilty when he checked him out. Being an assexual, he didn't exactly feel that attracted to his body, but he imagined how his friend's buffed arms would feel around him.

He couldn't believe he had a crush on his best friend now. How could he have missed how sweet he was all this time? He only started to notice his friend's best qualities after he broke up with Harriet, 2 weeks ago. Minho started to give Thomas more of his time and inviting him over to his house more often, and Thomas really enjoyed all the attention he was being given.
