Hey so this is why the chapter in 'Gone' is so short. I just had this idea it popped in my head so I'm not 100% sure I know where this story is going so yeah. We shall see. Also this chapter is going to be the longest out of probably all of them soooo there's that. ~Chris

I walk down the hallway as usual like I have for the past 5 months but today something felt off. I put my head down and continued to walk. I walked into someone and immediately started panicking. I grumbled and I looked up into two beautiful blue eyes. I took a step back.

"It's Okay" He spoke assuming I said sorry already. He had a nice voice. It was really soothing. He held out his hand. I looked at it for a moment. "My names Scott". I shook his hand slightly lifting my head to not looks as pathetic. "And yours is?"

The bell rang. I dropped his hand and briskly walked to my first class already late. When I walked in the teacher had to be a bitch as usual. "Ahh Mr.Grassi would you like to tell the class why you're late?" She spoke in a very bitchy know it all voice. (I know you know what I mean) The entire class was staring at me. I didn't know what to say to just get her to leave me alone.

"He was helping me find my class" I turned around to see those blue eyes again.

"Is this true" The teacher asked.

I nodded quickly.

"Ugh. Fine go to your seat" She waved me off. "You must be Scott Hoying" She spoke holding out her hand. I heard the girls in front of me start giggling and saying stuff about how cute Scott was. I mean they weren't wrong he is quite attractive.... I wonder if he's into guys. He looks like he could go either way. I was knocked out of my thought by someone sitting next to me. It was Scott of course. I felt him looking at me.

"You never told me your name"

I reached in my bag and pulled out a piece of paper and wrote my name on it.

Mitch (Italicized means what Mitch wrote)

"Mitch?" Scott repeated.

I nodded my head.

"You don't talk much do you?"

I shrugged and shook my head no. It's not that I couldn't talk, it's just that I hated the sound of my voice so I knew others did as well. Along with my smile and my laugh. I hated them and so did everyone else. The only people I ever talked to were my parents. No one else.

"Do you know where this class is?" Scott asked handing me his schedule. We had a few of the same classes. I nodded my head yes and started writing on the piece of paper I had out.

Yes I have that class next. I could show you where it is if you'd like?

He read the paper then looked up at me. "Yeah that'd be amazing thanks! Do we have anymore classes together?"

I nodded and pointed to them. In total we had 5 out of 7 classes 6 if you count lunch together. The bell rang meaning it was time to go to my Creative Writing class. I love writing. Especially since I don't talk.

The teacher talked about what we were doing. I never really payed attention to her she annoyed me too much. Finally the bell rang and I stood up. I looked over at Scott and motioned for him to follow me. When we walked out into the hallway, the girls from class ran over and circled Scott. In the process pushing me away from him so they could have him to themselves. I figured one of them would show him to class. So I just started walking away with my head down again.

As soon as I was about to turn the corner I heard someone faintly calling my name. I turned around to see Scott jogging up to me. "Why'd you leave me with them?" He spoke a little hurt in his voice. I pulled out my paper and jotted down a quick answer.
