10 weeks later

Olivia was distracted, wincing as another sharp Braxton Hicks contraction tightened her belly.

"These are the worst ones yet," Olivia groaned, rubbing her bump as she shifted uncomfortably. "They've been coming all day, like this kid's practicing for the Olympics in there."

Grace, stirring a pot of greens in the kitchen, glanced over with a knowing smile. "Mm-hmm," she said, her tone cryptic as she wiped her hands on her apron. "You sure those are just Braxton Hicks, baby girl? They sound like they mean business."

Olivia laughed, waving her off. "No, I'm not due for two more weeks."

Spencer squeezed her hand, his brow furrowing slightly. "You sure you're good, Liv? You've been wincin' all day."

"I'm fine," she insisted, though another contraction made her breath hitch, her hand gripping his tightly. "Just... intense."

Grace exchanged a glance with Spencer, her eyes twinkling with certainty. She'd seen this before—Olivia's discomfort, the way she shifted, the subtle rhythm of her breaths. Today was the day, Grace knew, but she kept her thoughts to herself, letting Olivia process it in her own time. "Why don't you two relax? Dinner's almost ready," she said, her voice calm but with a hint of anticipation.

They settled into a comfortable rhythm, Spencer telling stories about his latest training camp while Olivia teased him about his "old-man" stretching routine. But as they laughed, a sudden gush interrupted Olivia mid-sentence, her eyes widening as she looked down, a wet patch spreading across her dress. "Oh my God," she whispered, her voice trembling with shock. "Spence, my water just broke."

Spencer froze for a split second, his eyes darting from her face to her bump. "Wait, for real?" he said, his voice a mix of panic and excitement as he jumped up, nearly knocking over a lamp.

Grace appeared at Olivia's side, her calm presence grounding them both. "Told you," she said with a gentle smile, already grabbing a towel from the kitchen. "That baby girl's ready to meet y'all. Let's get to the hospital."

Olivia clutched Spencer's hand, her breath shaky as another contraction hit, stronger now, confirming Grace's instincts. "Okay, okay," she panted, her heart racing. "This is happening. Oh my God, this is happening."

Spencer helped her up, his arm steady around her as he grabbed her hospital bag from the corner of the room—always prepared, thanks to Grace's reminders. "We got this, Liv," he said, his voice steady despite the adrenaline pumping through him. "You're gonna be amazing."

Grace drove, her hands calm on the wheel, while Spencer sat in the back with Olivia, holding her hand as she breathed through contractions. "You're doin' so good, baby," he murmured, brushing her curls from her face. "We're almost there."

At the hospital, they were whisked to the labor and delivery ward, Olivia settled into a private room with soft lighting and beeping monitors. Grace stood by her side, offering quiet encouragement, while Spencer never let go of her hand, his eyes locked on her, filled with awe and worry. The contractions grew closer, more intense, and Olivia gripped his hand, her breaths ragged.

"Spence, this hurts," she groaned, her head tipping back against the pillow as another wave hit. "Why didn't anyone tell me it'd be this bad?"

"You're so strong, Liv," he said, his voice thick with emotion as he kissed her forehead. "You're doin' this for our girl. I'm right here, I ain't goin' nowhere."

Grace rubbed Olivia's back, her voice soothing. "You're almost there, sweetheart. That baby's eager to meet her mama."

Hours passed in a blur of pain, encouragement, and Spencer's unwavering presence. Olivia pushed through each contraction, her moans filling the room as Spencer whispered words of love and strength. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor announced it was time to push. Olivia, exhausted but determined, gave it everything, Spencer holding her hand, his own eyes misty as he watched her strength.

With a final, powerful push, a cry pierced the air, sharp and beautiful. Olivia collapsed back, tears streaming down her face as the doctor lifted a tiny, wriggling baby girl, her skin soft and pink, her cries strong. "She's perfect," the doctor said, placing the baby on Olivia's chest.

Olivia sobbed, her hands trembling as she cradled her daughter, the warmth of her tiny body grounding her. Spencer leaned over, his forehead pressed to Olivia's, tears in his eyes as he touched their baby's tiny hand. "She's here, Liv," he whispered, his voice breaking. "Our girl."

They held each other, the baby nestled between them, her cries softening as she settled against Olivia's skin. Grace wiped her eyes, her smile wide as she watched the new family, her heart full.

A nurse approached, clipboard in hand, her voice gentle. "What's this little one's name?"

Olivia and Spencer exchanged a look, a silent agreement passing between them. "Satori Nevaeh James," Olivia said, her voice steady despite her tears, the name rolling off her tongue like a prayer. "Satori, for wisdom and awakening, and Nevaeh, for heaven."

"Beautiful," the nurse said, jotting it down. "Welcome to the world, Satori Nevaeh James."

Later, as Olivia rested, Satori swaddled in a pink blanket in her arms, the door opened to reveal Simone, Jordan, Laura, and Billy. They'd been waiting anxiously in the hospital lounge, summoned by Grace's text. Laura's eyes filled with tears as she rushed to Olivia's side, her hands gentle as she touched her granddaughter's tiny head.

"Oh, Olivia," Laura whispered, her voice thick. "She's perfect."

Billy stood beside her, his usual stoic demeanor softened as he gazed at Satori, his granddaughter. "Look at her," he said, his voice gruff with emotion. "She's got your eyes, Liv."

Simone leaned in, her smile wide as she stroked Satori's tiny hand. "She's so beautiful," she said, glancing at Olivia and Spencer. "Y'all did good."

Jordan, standing next to Simone, grinned, his eyes shining. "Little Satori's gonna be a superstar, just like her pops," he said, nudging Spencer, who laughed softly.

Spencer hadn't left Olivia's side, his hand resting on her shoulder as he watched their family meet their daughter. "She's already got us all wrapped around her finger," he said, his voice warm with pride.

Laura took Satori gently, cradling her as Billy leaned over, both of them cooing softly. Simone and Jordan took turns holding her, their faces lit with awe, while Grace stood back, her smile serene, as if she'd known all along this moment would be perfect.

Olivia reached for Spencer's hand, her eyes meeting his, filled with love and gratitude. "We did this," she whispered, her voice soft but certain.

"We did," he said, leaning down to kiss her, slow and tender. "You're amazin', Liv. I love you."

"I love you too," she said, her heart full as she looked at Satori, now back in her arms, and the family surrounding them. The room was filled with quiet laughter, soft whispers, and the promise of a new chapter, their daughter at its heart.
