Olivia's POV
Three Days Later
Monday, February 28thGetting ready for my first appointment with my OBGYN makes me feel both overwhelmed and excited. I also haven't heard anything from Zayden, which makes my life ten times easier. On top of that, I am telling my friends and family that I'm pregnant tonight. I am hoping Spencer won't be at the Super Bowl Sunday gathering tonight because if he is, I might have to abort the mission.
When my Uber arrives at the OBGYN's office, I get out and walk in. The receptionist at the front desk gives me some forms to fill out. After I finish, I hand them back to her and sit back down.
“Olivia Baker?” the OBGYN calls, and I jump up and follow her into a room.
“Okay, you can have a seat up here,” she starts, watching me sit down. “Let's start with some questions, shall we? But first, let me introduce myself. I'm your new OBGYN until they tell me otherwise. You can call me Dr. Aniyla or just Aniyla.” Dr. Aniyla says, and I nod.
“So, before we start, do you have any questions or concerns about anything?” Dr. Aniyla asks, turning on the machine next to me.
“Well, sometimes I have backaches and morning sickness all day. That can be expected, right?” I ask, slightly concerned. Dr. Aniyla nods, writing everything down.
“Backaches and morning sickness are normal. For some mothers, they stop around 16-20 weeks, but they can last the whole pregnancy.” Dr. Aniyla says, and my fears dissipate.
“Okay,” I breathe out.
“Now, let's get started with my questions,” Dr. Aniyla says.
“When was your last period?” Dr. Aniyla asks.
“Uh, last month, January 16th,” I answer, and Dr. Aniyla writes that down.
“Does the father of the baby know?” Dr. Aniyla asks as I feel tears starting.
I swallow hard before speaking. “No, not yet,” I say, as she grabs a box of tissues and hands them to me.
“Do you and the father have a relationship? Are you together, friends, broken up?” Dr. Aniyla asks, and I nod.
“We're friends,” I say, wiping my eyes.
“Okay, so now what I need you to do is lay back and lift your shirt up a little,” Dr. Aniyla says. I do as she instructs, and she walks over to the machine.
“Okay,” I say.
“This gel that I'm placing on your belly allows me to see the baby more clearly. It might be a little cold, just a heads-up,” Dr. Aniyla says as she places the gel on my stomach and moves the wand around.
“Now, on the screen in front of you is your baby. It looks like you're about six weeks pregnant,” she says, still moving the wand around.
“That's... that's a baby,” I say, stuttering.
“Yep, your baby. I'll go get your pictures printed for you. Here's a wipe to clean off the gel, and I'll be back with your pictures. Then you're all set!” Dr. Aniyla says, handing me a wipe before walking out.
“I'm really pregnant,” I say to myself, and then the waterworks start again.
As I'm waiting for the nurse to come back, I get a message from Simone:
Simone❤️:How's it going?
Me:Well, I can't stop crying, and I'm pregnant without my baby daddy knowing. How do you think I feel?
Simone❤️:Girl, calm down. You can just tell him tonight.Me: He's coming?! My life can't get any worse, can it?
Simone❤️:What do you expect? His best friend Coop was the one who said everyone should come over for Super Bowl Sunday. Do you think she wouldn't come?
I was about to text back, but the OBGYN came back in with the sonogram photos.
“Here you go! I'll see you at your next appointment!” Dr. Aniyla says as I get up and walk out (after thanking her, of course).

As I finally arrive home, I open the door to see Spencer and Jordan already in the living room. The game hasn't even started yet! I try to walk upstairs discreetly so they don't notice I'm here, but Simone says:
“Hey Liv, come listen to how Jordan fell down the stairs earlier!”
I roll my eyes and walk towards them, flashing a smile. The only spot on the couch is next to Spencer, so I sit there after setting my purse down.
I can smell his cologne before I see his affectionate smile that makes butterflies stir in my stomach.
“Hey Liv,” Spencer says.
“Spencer,” I say, not wanting to talk anymore.
A few minutes go by of Jordan telling his boring story, and I get bored. I tell everyone that I'm going to my room, not caring to hear anyone's replies.
When I walk into my room, I sit down on my bed and let out a big sigh.
“Why is my life so difficult?” I say to myself.
Then I get a text from Spencer saying:
Spencer🖤:Can we talk? Please?
