Groaning as he pushed himself off of the floor, Stampy reluctantly yawned and stretched, taking in the early morning. Nobody was up yet, everyone was peacefully sleeping in their sleeping bags. With every steady breath, the bags rose and fell, making the room seam with a warm cozy feeling.
Stampy drew his attention to the window, growing wide eyed. It was still night time, but one side of the sky was growing lighter, yet no sun to be seen, yet. Stampy felt drawn to it, for a reason he couldn't explain. Being careful not to step on anyone, Stampy tiptoed his way through the mass of people on the floor, making his way to Sqaishey's bedroom. He opened the door silently as he walked in, making sure that Sqaishey wouldn't be disturbed. But she wasn't there. She wasn't safely tucked under the covers of her bed, just a mess of where she got out.
Stampy started to panic, before he went out onto the balcony. Sqaishey was sitting on the edge of the glass on her balcony, her back facing Stampy. She was looking at the mini glimmer of light from the sun, which grew a bit brighter. Stampy gave a mental sigh of relief, and for a few moments he just stood there. He did absolutely nothing.
Sqaishey took a deep breath. She knew it was really early in the morning, but she couldn't sleep that night. Her eyes desperately wanted to close, but her mind told a different story. The fresh morning air seemed to claim her mind at the moment, she was doing nothing but staring at the sun.
She flinched in surprise as Stampy sat down next to her, not expecting the cat to have waken up yet. She gave him a weak smile before staring back at the glimmer. The sun would be raising any minute now, and little would they know, it would be one of the most beautiful things they've ever seen.
Stampy shifted in his spot. He really didn't know what to do, he wasn't the king of romance, hence the downfall of Melanie. He hung his head low. He really didn't know what to do. His stomach turned upside down as he felt Sqaishey's head fall on his shoulder, his arm instinctively going around her shoulder. How was he doing this? He wasn't doing this himself! Sqaishey mumbled something under her breathe, which Stampy couldn't understand, but his heart did.
"I love you too." He said, totally uncontrollable.
Sqaishey looked up at him, shocked that he was able to hear her.
Her eyes twinkled as he looked at her, getting lost in her eyes.
Sqaishey's insides turned into jelly.
Stampy didn't know what he was doing.
They both looked at the sun together, taking in the explosion of color. Orange mixed with blue and yellow, pink and purple streaked across the sky, melting into the sun. Teal and dark blue took over the other side of the sky, Navy blue and dark purples flying across the sky.
Sqaishey buried her head in Stampy's chest as she took in the colors. Stampy's arms went around Sqaishey, and they both spent the morning together, lost in love.Okay to be completely honest, this book is turning out pretty freaking awesome. Not complementing myself. I'm honestly really proud of this book so far. There will probably be around 30 chapters, the next one completely in Hit the Targets point of view. The next chapter will probably make you hate me, buuuuuuttt, there might be something surprising in the next chapter. IM SO EXCITED I MIGHT UPDATE AGAIN TODAY.
Sorry for the short chapter, but I wanted it to be short and sweet. Did I achieve my goal?!
Fist bump! Balalalalalala!
Time for lunch. And remember, stay turtles my Jeremy's!
Love ya!
