I woke up, and to my surprise, I wasn't the slightest bit exhausted. This was probably due to the fact that I have a busy schedule ahead of me today.
I sat up in bed, and slouched in my seat. I grabbed my phone, which was once again blinking a rather obnoxious blue light. I ruffled my hair after unlocking my phone, then went in to my messages. I had gotten messages from Louis as well as the group chat with Charlie and Cat. I decided to check the latter first, and save the best for last.
Charles: We have so many planned for 2day!
Cat: But, shh, we arent going to tell u what the plans r! Its a surprise!
I cringe at their words, because of their spelling, and I really would rather hang out with Louis today.
I sighed and typed back that I appreciate their offer, but I would rather stay in bed the rest of the day, which is probably what I will end up doing, so it's not a proper lie.
I was about to turn off my phone, when I had realized I hadn't texted Louis yet.
I opened Louis' messages to me and saw he had wrote
Alright, g'night, pussy cat. XD
Received at 9:08am
Good morning Puss in Boots! How's your morning been. ;)
I felt my cheeks quickly heating up, and soon could tell I had gone crimson. I shook my head to myself, and typed back my reply to Louis.
You'll never stop reminding me of that, will you?
After a bit of looking through twitter, I got another message from Louis.
Of course not, Hare. ;) XD
I rolled my eyes and replied with a "Bloody hell".
I turned my phone off, and got up to make my bed, knowing it would be my last day having to sleep in it. A blessing and a curse.
Once I cleaned the room, and freshened up I headed to breakfast, and received my food from the lunch lady with a wide smile. I looked around the cafeteria and found Niall in the spot he usually is in. I swiveled through the crowd and finally got to Niall. I greeted him with a high five, and sat down.
"So, last day, huh?", Niall asked solemnly. I nodded, and swallowed the piece of egg that was in my mouth. "Uh, yeah, mate. I'm going to miss you." He mumbled in agreement. "But, hey," I continued. "That is why you have my number. Here, take my phone and put your name as well." I opened the contacts app and slid the phone over to Niall. He grinned and typed in his number and name with his clean hand.
I smiled at him once he gave it back, then we continued on chatting and eating for the rest of the hour, until I was called down to reception. I hugged Niall goodbye, and went on my way.
Once the front desk was in sight, I immediately spotted me mum, dad, Charlie, and Cat waiting for me.
"'Ello, Harry!", cried my dad. He pulled me in once I walked close enough and gave me a hug and a fluff of the hair. Me mum, Charlie, and Cat followed up with even more hugs.
My parents apprised how glad they were to see me again. "Mum, Dad. All four of you continuously visited me over the weeks. I'm sure it wasn't that bad," I chuckled.
"Oh, but it was, Harry!", me mum exclaimed. "I would say it was quiet around the house with out you, but, thanks to these two trouble makers, the house has been as.. alive as ever," she said while smirking at Charlie and Cat.
A laugh escaped my lips and I covered my mouth in embarrassment and looked to see if anyone heard, due to how loud it had been.
After the group had their laugh at me, my Dad turned to Charlie and Cat and said "Charlie, and Cat. Why don't you three get to the car, while Anne an I finish up the papers in here. Sounds good?"
"Sure thing, Desmond," Charlie winked. I rolled my eyes, and caught the keys my dad threw at me. I gave him two thumbs up, and kissed me mum on her cheek. Then I was followed by Charlie and Cat out of the building.
I unlocked the car and sat in the drivers' seat, while Charlie and Cat sat in the back.
"I am so excited!", Cat exclaimed as I turned the key in the ignition. I looked in the rear view mirror and awkwardly smiled at them.
"Yeah, we have so much planned, which we have to cram together, since you had to stay in the hospital for three weeks," added Charlie.
"Sorry," I said, feeling as if I made their trip a waste of time.
"Ugh, don't listen to this twat, Hare. It's not like you had a choice in the matter," Cat cut in.
"I didn't mean it in a bad way, Har. I'm sorry, mate." I waved off the matter, unphased.
I turned in my seat and asked. "So, what do you have planned?" I really didn't want to do anything, but help Louis on his search that won't end for a while, but I knew I owed it to them, and won't be able to get out of it.
Charlie was about to speak, when Cat slapped both of her hands over his mouth and yelled "It's a surprise!" Charlie quietly moaned out an "ow" under Cat's hands, as I chuckled.
I received a text message and jumped at the sound.
Realizing who it might be I turned in my seat, and removed me phone from my back pocket.
I went through my passcode, then went into iMessages. A smile spread across my face when I saw who the message was from.
Hey, Curls, you up to some detective work today? ;)
I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks at the winking emoji that Louis continuously sends me.
I began rapidly typing my reply. When I was ready to send my message, Charlie spoke up from the back, causing me to flinch. I had forgotten they were there.
"Harry..?"
I quickly hit send and slid my phone back into my pocket. I turned in my seat and gave the two my best innocent, with a hint of anxiety face.
"Yes..?", I asked, nervously.
"Who were you texting so excitedly, and well violently? They seem a lot more important than your best friends," Charlie added, to obviously make me guilty.
"Um, it was.. the doctor," I said slowly, unsure.
"The doctor," Charlie repeated with doubt.
I nodded slowly once. "Well, why do you have the doctors' number?", he asked. Cat slapped Charlie's arm and whispered to him, but since she whispered rather loudly, I heard "mind your business." They're like an old married couple, but I believe Cat still has feelings for me. Unfortunately for her, they're one-sided.
"Well?" I started. "The doctor was a female doctor who gave me her number.." I saw Cat look at me quickly with a solemn expression, and I quickly regretted what I said. Charlie's teeth clench. "Is that so?", he asked, bitterly.
"Uh yeah.." The car fell silent, and awkwardly danced in the atmosphere that surrounded us.
I turned back to face the front and took my phone back out to avoid any other conversation.
I looked back at my response to Louis. I knew today to hang out was not possibly. In fact it was next to impossible in these circumstances, so I texted back telling him I couldn't today, but tomorrow is wide open, which wasn't necessarily true. He had replied back.
I'm sad to here that, Curls, but I'm down for tomorrow. See you then. ;)
Soon I found my self blushing all over again.
