"What the bloody hell do you mean?", I yelled at Mark. I know I was making a scene, but I couldn't care less at the moment.
Mark sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It is what it is, Harry."
"Listen here, Mark. I've been visiting Louis for months. Months! I can't just stop seeing him while he 'rests and recovers'." I used air quotations, annoyed.
"This isn't my idea, Harry. If it was my decision, I'd fucking let you, but it's not mine, it's the head doctor's, so your out of damn luck," Mark whisper yelled.
I calmed down a bit, tears brimming at my eyes. I ran a hand through my hair. I was about to unwillingly cry, if it wasn't for the two familiar voices coming from behind me.
"So, this is where you volunteer?", Charlie's voice echos.
"It's definitely comfortable," spoke Cat.
I quickly wiped my eyes and pretended to exaggeratedly yawn. Then, I turned to face you guys.
"Oh, hello, mates," I spoke nonchalantly. "It's good you arrived. I finished early today."
"Are you okay?", Cat's innocent voice asked.
I passed them acting normal. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
I reached the doors and turned to face them. "Well, come on. Let's go set your rooms up."
With that, I turned and left.
Once at home, we greeted my Mum and headed off to the rooms in the basement. "Who's room are we starting with then?", I asked, as we stood out in the hall.
"Let start with Charlie's room," suggested Catherine.
Charlie silently nodded, almost thoughtful, as I just shrugged.
We headed in and laid down the luggage.
We silently opened the bags and took out clothes to hang. Cat quietly put on some music for background noise.
"How are you liking Doncaster?", I asked them, while hanging clothes in the closet.
"It's alright."
"But, it's pretty lonesome," added Charlie while eyeing me.
"Charlie!", Cat yelled, as she threw a plastic hanger at his shoulder.
He mumbled something, only I could hear. "It's the damn truth."
I sighed and got back to work.
We stayed silent for a while now, the only sound filling the air was the soft hums of music coming from Catherine's IPad mini speakers.
Charlie opened his mouth to say something, but he soon became startled, as did Catherine.
A loud and deep throaty cough erupted from my mouth, six times. Suddenly, I felt faint.
"Uh-h," I stuttered out and fell on top of the pile of clothes, on Charlie's bed.
Charlie and Cat rushed over.
"Jesus, Hare,' Charlie exasperated. "Are you alright?", Catherine panicked.
"Yeah, I-I think. I think it's just a fever."
"Just a fever?", Charlie's voice boomed.
Loud footsteps ran down the stairs.
"Is everyone alright?", me Mum yelled. She ran in to the room and saw me laying there, exhausted.
"Oh, Harry!", she yelled. She ran over to my side and felt my forehead. "Harry, you're burning up!"
"I feel like I am too."
