(Unedited)

We decided to have supper at a not too cheap-not too fancy restaurant. It was called "Bones and Appetite." It was a grilled food place, and the food was pretty delicious. After a while of sloppy eating to excuse for the silence, surprisingly Cat spoke up.

"So, um, Harry," she dragged out. I hummed, telling her I'm listening. She was looking down at her hands, playing with her fingers. Curse Charlie for making it so awkward. This'll go on until next week, when they'll have to leave, no doubt.

"For the surprise later on in the day, you'll have wear my scarf around your eyes." She looked up and smiled slightly. Maybe it won't be awkward for too long.

"Oh, um, alright," I said, giving her a strange look. I saw Charlie smiling from the corner of my eye, causing my smile to drop, and my gaze to lower to my food.

"So," I extended. "How's the food?"

Charlie spoke up with a mouth full of food. "It was great, thanks for suggesting this place." "Charlie," Cat hissed out, warning him to remember his manners, no doubt.

Charlie rolled his eyes, and swallowed his food. "Happy?", he asked Cat with a smile full of sass.

"Oozing with joy," she responded. "Oozing?", I ask forgetting it was supposed to be tense between the lot of us.

We all giggled, as Cat shrugged.

Once done with our food, we all got up for table, all of of leaving some money as a tip.

We were all speed walking down the street, laughing like best mates again. That is until I realized the next stop was the surprise they had for me. I slowed down, in fear of what it could be, even if we were acting like ourselves again.

"Hare?", Cat questioned, as they both came to full stop and looked back at me. "We'll come on, Hare," she smiled. She came to my side and linked arms with me. "The surprise is approaching"

Cat's reassuring smile let me calm down just a bit, but I was still nervous. Charlie came to my other side and also linked arms with me. "Let's go," he grinned.

They both began dragging be along the sidewalk. Charlie soon spoke up, "It's almost time to become blindfolded young one." I rolled my eyes, and kept staring at the concrete that kept speeding by under our feet, as I was dragged along.

We came to abrupt halt, causing me to almost fall face first. "Come on, I almost fell," I exclaimed. Charlie didn't pay any attention to me as he signalled to Cat for the scarf.

He began tying it very tightly around my head, as i yelped. "Come on, Hare. Stay still. The surprise is right around this corner."

"Ow! It's not my fault! 'M in pain," I defended. "Yeah, yeah, stop being a baby, mate."

Finally he was done. I sighed in relief.
"Finally," I said. After some silence, I was confused. "Guys, where'd you go?"

After some time, of feeling the air with the palms of my hands, I heard many foot steps running towards me. I yelled and curled into my self, bracing for impact. The people running stopped right in front of me.

"Shit," I heard Charlie's voice say. They linked arms with me again as I questioned what happened.

"Sorry, Hare, we forgot you here," Cat said in guilt. "Aw, fuck you guys," I said, almost jokingly. Almost.

They began guiding me toward the surprise. I began hearing faint screams as we turned the corner. That was very unsettling.

"Where the fuck are you guys taking me? A slaughter house," I whisper yelled. They chuckled, not answering me.

As soon as they told me to stop, the screams had increased in volume. They were so loud I have to block my ears with my index fingers.

It caught me by surprise when my blindfold was suddenly removed by Cat. I blinked then smiled gratefully at her.

I finally realized where Charlie and Cat had brought me, and slightly relaxed.

"You guys brought me to a travelling carnival," I questioned in disbelief. "That was the big surprise?"

"Well, yeah! Do you not like it?" Catherine's eyes filled with concern.

"No, no. It was definitely a surprise." Charlie rose an eyebrow at me and asked "Well, what kind of surprise were you expecting?"

"Oh," I answered. "Nothing that extravagant." Charlie continued to stare at me in thought, until finally spoked up. "Well, what are we waiting for, lads? Let's go!" She began running toward the ticket booth, and Charlie slowly followed.

I thought back to Charlie's question. "Well, what kind of surprise were you expecting?" This time I answered truthfully in thought.

Just something involving more public humiliation, or maybe even an actual slaughter house.

I caught up with the two in line for tickets. It was our turn after the elderly woman and small child before us.

Once it was our turn, Catherine asked for twenty tickets in total, while Charlie offered to pay.

We walked out of line when given our tickets, and Catherine spoke up in excitement.

"So, where to first? The Ferris wheel? What about the dragon roller coaster? Oh! Maybe the ladder game? Perhaps Charlie can win prizes for the two of us, huh, Hare," she winked. I smiled and shrugged.

Charlie chuckled. "Okay, how about we start off easy with the ladder game then? I'm guessing I'll be the only competitor. Unless Harry would like to help out? Hm?" I chuckled and shook my head. "Nah, Charles, you got this." Charlie rolled his eyes, probably at the nickname I called him.

"Suit your self, wanker. Just watch the professional handle this with ease." I rolled my eyes, knowing Charlie was talking nonsense.

"Do your thing, mate," I winked, cheekily.

It wasn't a surprise when Charlie underestimated the game, attempting to quickly climb the ladder, but epically failing when it flipped over and whipped his sorry ass off.

Saying Charlie was embarrassed was an understatement. The lad's cheeks were flushed, as Cat and myself chortled.

"Oi! Shut up! Like you can do any better," he exclaimed.

"Oh yeah? Watch me?" I was about to march my way to the game when Cat stopped me.

"No, wait! I want to try to win this," she jumped excitedly. In a split second, Catherine was already running toward the booth. I rolled my eyes and looked at Charlie.

"Watch her beat your sorry arse," I taunted.

Charlie just chuckled and said "Ya know? I don't doubt that for a second, mate." He bumped my shoulder and I widened my grin.

Soon a bell was heard, as we turned to the booth and see Catherine jump off the top of the rope ladder.

She screamed with glee as she came running towards us with a giant stuffed banana in her arm.

"Nice," I smiled. Charlie quickly spoke up. "Aw man, we were so excited I forgot you were sick, mate. That sounded rough. Would you like to call it a day? We can come back another time?"

I pressed my eyebrows together and squeaked "No, it's fine. I'm fine. It's too late, I'm already having fun. Let's go on the Ferris wheel next," I said disappointed.

"Alright, if you insist, Harold," Charlie gave in.
