Dana's PVO
I awoke late the next day feeling rejuvenated and better than ever after having slept for so long as well as from drinking the herbal tea. Peter was no longer there and I yawned and stretched as I got ready to start my day. As I got ready I started to remember something from last night. I thought I remembered seeing a black winged cat and thinking it was Loki but the more I thought about it the more I couldn't tell if it was a dream or reality. I was so tired from yesterday events that I couldn't tell the difference between reality and dream. Heading down stairs I found the rest of my family sitting around and watching the news and reading papers, looking for any signs on where Loki might be. They all seemed pretty worried that he was out there planning to take over yet they had no idea when, where, or how. Taking a seat at the table next to Clint and Natasha, my mom gave me a plate of bacon, eggs, and toast, kissing me on top of the head before heading back into the kitchen to join Pepper in cleaning up and doing their own search for Loki.
"ALL RIGHT I'M SICK OF THIS" Clint said as he slammed the paper he was reading down on the table. "I'm not reading another article about how Taylor Swift is fighting some chick named Katy Perry, there's nothing in these papers that will make me think Loki is somewhere up to no good. Unless he's committed some fashion crime or has done something scandalous I've got nothing."
Clint abruptly stood up from the table and quickly walked to the TV room, snatching the remote out of Tony's hand he set the TV to the Xbox setting. Throwing himself down onto the couch and grabbing the controller, Clint started to play his game.
"HEY I WAS WATCHING THAT NUMB SKULL WE MIGHT MISS SOMETHING IMPORTANT!" Tony yelled in protest as he struggled with Clint to gain control of the TV.
"We've been watching the same channel for hours and nothing has changed, it's the same damn thing every time and I'm sick of it. Just ask Jarvis to keep a look out for something, he's the super computer."
Clint continued to play his game as Tony got up with a huff to find somewhere else to scan for evidence on Loki's whereabouts mumbling to himself. "You'd think since I own the place and everything inside I'd have a little more say on when and who gets to use what."
As Tony stormed off to his lab, my father Bruce walked by slapping Clint upside the head as he passed. "Hey play nice now, don't get me angry like you always end up doing I'm not in the mood today."
Rubbing the back of his head Clint frowned at my father sticking out his tongue at him as he passed by to join me at the table. "Yo Thor you want to join me in this game, I bet I could beat you."
"I accept thy challenge, thou art no match for me" Thor put down his paper and quickly got up from his chair to join Clint in his game on the couch.
With a long sigh Natasha just shook her head at the boys as she continued to work hard on trying to find anything on Loki.
"So you feeling any better Dana" my father said as he began to sip at his coffee.
"Yea much thanks, that tea really did the trick I'm going to have to get the recipe from Dr. Strange."
"Good good, well in that case WHAT THE H#!! WHERE YOU THINKING, I specifically told you not to get involved with Loki and what do you do, you get involved."
As he spoke his skin slowly started to turn green getting everyone a bit nerves.
"Dad you need to calm down please you're starting to get green and besides... you're embarrassing me."
With a few calming breaths my dad started to regain his composure before continuing.
"Dana you could have been seriously hurt he's dangerous and can't be trusted."
"I know Dad but I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm 19. My powers are stronger than ever and I have been doing a lot of training. If I'm going to be an Avenger then I need to learn how to work in difficult situations, I've been taught by the best and now it's time to put those teachings to use."
I watched as my dad frowned, he knew I was right but didn't like the idea all the same. Running his fingers through his hair he sighed.
"I know Dana and your right but Loki is just really big time bad news and I'm afraid he's just too much for you to handle and you'll get hurt."
"I know you worry but he's not the only alien, whether we like it or not I'm a different species with abilities were still understanding. I have been raised as both human and Asgardian and have been trained by all of you, if anything I think he should be the one afraid of me. Besides I'm fine, Coulson's... ok... no one died and I got vital information from Loki that no one else was able to get, all in all it looks like a pretty successful day to me don't you think."
"I" Thor said as he looked over from his game. "Though my brother is strong and cunning Dana is a worthy opponent for him. Her flames are unrivaled and she can surly hold her own in combat, we have all seen her skill."
"yea I know Thor but the thought of this war and Dana fighting in it is got me on edge. I can't help but worry about my little girl" Bruce said as he ruffled Dana's hair. "I remember when you..."
                         "Dad stop it."
Everyone started to laugh and the tension and stress in the room all but vanished.
For the next couple of days things continued like that. Every morning we'd look for news on anything suspicious that may be connected to Loki and if anything popped up, as small group would be sent out to investigate. None of these investigations ever came back with information on Loki. During the time I would meet Peter in the afternoon for some training. Since the helicarrier was down most of our training was done at the Xavier school for gifted youngsters. Wolverine had to be the hardest training teacher I had ever meet, though my senses are heightened like his, his fast reflexes and adamantium skeleton always had me beat and going home with burses. The best thing though about this school was the new friends I made. Kitty or Shadow cat is definitely pretty cool; she always has my back and could get me out of sticky situations. My other close friend I made was Kurt Wagner or Nightcrawler, he was always the one I would get into sticky situations with where we would then rely on Kitty to get us out. Our pranks on Wolverine had nothing on what was in store for me later though when the war began.
