Ben
I can't understand what I did yesterday at the game.
What has come over me?
Mal is in my every thought, not that its bad, but not different either.
Why did I suddenly just ask her out?
And in song?
"Dude! I can't believe you asked out Mal!" Doug, my roommate says happily.
I wonder.
"Did everyone want me to do this?" I ask.
He nods.
"Or at least the ones who like the villains. I've seen the way you two look at each other before." Doug says.
"So now, what?" I aka, Mal's green eyes trapped in my mind.
"Ask her on you first date! Idiot." Doug says.
I laugh at him.
"And you would know this why?" I ask.
"Because today I sort of asked Evie out." He says.
Oh! I called it!
"Now! Go ask Mal!" He says pointing to our dorm door.
I smile, and leave, hoping to find Mal quickly.
......
When I find her, she is sitting at the foot of my father's statue, doing what looks like scetching.
"Hey Mal!" I say as I walk up.
She looks up and smiles at me.
"Hey Ben. What's up?" She asks, closing her book and standing so we are almost at eye level.
I think it over.
"Will you go on a date with me?" I ask.
She stares at me for a moment.
"Uh. Ok." She says nervously.
I smile.
I'm not the only nervous one.
We go our separate ways to get ready for the date.
Mal
Gotta find Evie. Where are you!?
I find Evie sitting at a picnic table holding what looks like a test.
